Upon reading the National Park Service report of Trenny's case, on page 10 it states that on October 12, 1976, while the search continued, her younger sister Tina was very upset. About something her dad said to the press. Anyone have any idea what this was about?
BUMP!
I agree about 1979 Bahia Honda Jane Doe. She and Trenny still haven't been compared as possibles as they are strong contenders. I posted Trenny's NamUs listing in Jane Doe's thread too.
1979 Bahia Honda Jane Doe — NamUs #UP6251
Trenny Gibson, missing while on a class field trip in the Great Smoky Mountains on October 1976 is a possible for this Jane Doe:
Trenny Lynn Gibson — NamUs #MP4524
I was finally able to learn that Trenny does have a DNA file in NamUs. I came across the 1995 York Island, Florida Unidentified Jane Doe who was murdered. The Jane Doe has genetic ties to the region of South Carolina. Trenny was born in Georgia. Lived in Tennessee. I wouldn't rule out the...
Thank you, heartanium, for this updated list. It's great to know other "possibles" from unidentified cases are being compared with Mary's DNA profiles.
BUMP!
Thoroughly detailed in all his fact-driven research on missing person cases, Nick Kyle revisits the Garrett Bardsley case in a newly released video. He even treks to the actual location of the Cuberant Lake area campsite:

If the the perp left behind "trace DNA," it would be a huge lead. Especially if either mother or daughter put up a fight, the perp's skin would be under a victim's fingernails.

It'll be 18 years this July 2024. This is a recent January 2024 article update. Mr. Stodden is offering a $1,000 reward.
Man still searching for who killed his wife, daughter while they hiked in Snohomish County 18 years ago
The door only recorded keycard entries, not when a door was opened to exit the room. So if there was someone else in the room, they had a good chance to leave within the 14-minute window when no one was watching, nor being detected by their door security system. As for double-locking the door...
I watched the Netflix Unsolved Mysteries episode on this. This case is very similar to the Mary Anderson, October 1996, Seattle, Washington case. Same era. Different deaths, both a possible espionage angle. It explains why no one has come forward for either woman in both cases.
It's been a while since posting to this thread. I still have all my research on this case. And to this day, I believe Mary Anderson was not from here in the Seattle area, nor possibly the United States. I have always believed she may have lived a life in espionage. And after watching the second...
It truly is an odd and unusual case. MH's life, trek, death, and how no one has come forward in recognizing him, his identity, let alone has submitted a missing person report on him. Whether he was on the run personally, or as a fugitive, he couldn't have always been living off the grid. He...
I recently listened to the Collier Country podcast on the case (from February 2019) and the detective stated the MH's DNA was submitted for testing, pending results which is anywhere from 6 months to 1 year, and may be able to tell them what he died of. That indicates the autopsy did not reveal...
I'm local to the area and have visited the Deception Pass Bridge a few times when I was kid. From reading about some recent jumpers the last few years, their bodies were found the next day on nearby beaches. I know the currents are harsh and fast, I think more so than the Bay Area of San...
I'm wondering if she was a victim of Michigan serial killer, Robert Elmore Taylor? He escaped from a Michigan prison after killing a young woman in Port Huron, Michigan. After his escape, he fled to the Seattle and Bothell areas in Washington State. In December 1977, he abducted a local Bothell...
