Appreciate the info-yeah I hadn't seen anything official about it.

I feel the same way--especially in the past decade it seems that all cars look pretty much the same with very small differences in design.

I was wondering, has it been established as a fact that those tire skid marks happened the morning of the murder?

Yes, I commented on this too, I think anyone with any common sense knows how important CCTV camera footage is to get ASAP after the crime. Good for you scoping out how many gas stations are in the Moscow area, of course I'd think they'd go to ANY business in a likely escape area as well.

I agree--not too bright to dump extremely bloody/soaked DNA laden clothes anywhere in Moscow and I imagine they'd bury them or burn them many miles from any town.

Good point, initially I though he probably escaped on foot but am now thinking he drove. Of course either way is possible.

I think the killer would hold onto the knife-it'd be too much of a "trophy" now and he'll probably get a thrill everytime he handles it. However, I'd think it's still somewhat stupid to do that, unless he soaks the knife in bleach and even then there probably will be blood dna evidence if the...

I think either the killer came prepared with a bag of clothes to change into and/or showered. If the police did find traces of blood or footprints they haven't mentioned as far as I know. They did take away all of the contents of a couple dumpsters for examination. Good question about checking...

You may be right but I can't imagine the killer just hanging out in Moscow not being rattled at all while Mass Media is all over the place. Unless, of course if he's a sociopath, which is highly likely.

I doubt it, I'm fairly certain the killer brought it with him. Of course there hasn't been any mention of any knives missing from the kitchen either. A kitchen/chef knife wasn't used in these murders anyway, so that really isn't something they'd be looking for.

Interesting idea, someone else from U of I who was unhappy she was hired instead of her? Unhappy enough to kill four people? Somewhat of a reach but anything is possible I suppose. Might be worth LE checking out all of the other applicants.

Yes, I've seen that happen so many times and as dumb as it is to be recorded on camera they always seem to use their credit or debit card also. Makes it easy for LE.

I agree--it's gotten a bit ridiculous at this point. I know they have a ton of work that they are doing but some cohesiveness would be good.

Thanks for bringing this up. I hadn't really thought about it. I lean towards them being at least an acquaintance in their social circle and the more I think about it, it really would take some composure to not be rattled. Drinking and/or drugs perhaps? Certainly alot of confidence and control...

Really nice work on the possible escape route. I think we all know it's obvious the killer would flee from the back of the house, and going along that tree line would be perfect cover! In the early morning hours chances are no one would see them. I think that could very well be how they left the...

I feel the same, the killer seems like a ghost, able to commit these horrible murders then disappear into the ether without a trace. So damn eerie. I hope that the FBI presence in the investigation is helping make some headway.

Hmmm, very interesting observations--thanks for doing the work and finding these possible vantage points for someone to watch them. I didn't really know about the second apartments with windows looking out on their parking lot.

Yes, that is a question I'm sure many of us think about. I don't know if they planned to kill 4 people, it could've just developed like you mentioned. To start with I wonder if he had entered the house when everyone was out and waited. I also wonder was the killer drunk and/or on meth or another...

I think you're right about this. I saw a former FBi profiler mention that there are sick, deranged killers who are sexually stimulated by the act of stabbing alone.

Well that really isn't what I wanted to hear, these small town Police forces that are not accustomed to such an involved, high profile cases seem to drop the ball early on. I'm happy they had the foresight to call the FBI and the State Troopers but one would think SOMEBODY would've been at...
