    SIDEBAR #8- Arias/Alexander forum

I wish they had done a perp walk with her at some point. The thought of her handcuffed with no makeup on being shoved into a police car trying to hide behind her hair curtain past a crowd of angry spectators is the stuff that dreams are made of. And also...Hi guys! Long time no see!!:seeya:

    SIDEBAR #6- Arias/Alexander forum

I had about 15 witness interviews this week and now I have PINK EYE. I just keep regretting not using my hand sanitizer after every handshake because I didn't want to be offensive...and then I think of someone else's microbes in my eye and...:scared: Between Mr. Foreman and my swollen lid...

    SIDEBAR #6- Arias/Alexander forum

I wonder if this is an appeal issue? Perhaps the DT will spin it that the jury really meant to give "life" and so the DP shouldn't be on the table. I truly wish this guy would hush...smh.:banghead:

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase #2

That's what I thought when I heard he stalked by the media. It was a charged environment. If I had been appalled by the other jurors decision to deadlock, I think I would have been fine to hold my head high, get away from the experience as soon as possible and live with the knowledge that I...

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase #2

Somehow I am beginning to doubt that he found out that she was being vilified "only afterwards of course." He's said that in several interviews now...perhaps he doth protest too much. Having seen a little HLN prior to the penalty phase might explain his "night in shining armor syndrome" now as...

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase #2

This...this...and this.:ditto:...I was actually fine with the hung jury etc. until he started pontificating. Now I'm sliding slowly (back) off the reservation...

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase #2

Whoooaaaaa...too soon Mr. Foreman. The time has come for you to stop talking to the media. Please and thank you.....

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase

I completely agree with you. I work with lawyers like him everyday and they can certainly sway people who are less savvy by giving their (often uninformed) opinion as gospel. Perhaps he is also the reason that they were hung...I can't imagine the majority of them wanting to quit without a...

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase

The jury foreperson is usually a strong-minded individual...but some of the statements that he made seem to show that he was rigid in his opinions and may have leaned on some of the less sure jurors...."We couldn't allow ourselves" "My jurors""It had to"...I have mixed emotions about it I guess...

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase

Me too... I was looking very forward to hearing their thoughts but felt confident that "abuse" would not have been coupled with "-ive" by any stretch of the imagination when talking about TA. I.e. "She totally lied about the abuse but we couldn't kill her because she's a sick puppy vs. we...

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase

Absolutely, she was a psycopath that was ruining his life. She stole from him, slept under his christmas tree, slashed his tires, peeked into his windows, moved to AZ uninvited, came into his home unannounced, emailed his new paramours...couple that with her smug and calm demeanor in the face...

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase

I actually wish the jury foreman had kept quiet for my own sanity. I could live with it if there was any reason other than abuse that the holdouts decided they couldn't skin her miserable hide....but there is just no way to justify this: "Speaking to Good Morning America, he admitted he did...

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase

I absolutely agree with this. I can't imagine how a jury could get a case that has been as insane as this one during the penalty phase and be expected to decide. In the South where I am from, you know pretty quickly whether you are not long for this world when you're sentenced. The multiple...

How so? Counter my statement with your purportedly rational thinking and perhaps we can all learn something.

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase

I agree with you there! I don't think I would shy away from putting the needle in myself in this case. The original discussion was about the necessity of unanimous death verdicts and the OP said that he/she felt that one or two hold outs shouldn't stop a death sentence. I think 'majority rules'...

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase

I interned with the innocence project in law school. I have seen dozens of poor minorities with questionable convictions and/or mentally retarded men that confessed to crimes after coercion, that now sit or have sat on death row for crimes that it's pretty clear that they didn't commit...or in...

Verdict is in! GUILTY of MURDER ONE - Hung Jury On Penalty Phase

I can't quite get behind this. Nothing wrong with your opinion of course, but I would rather have one or two convicted jurors hold out when the whole world is going mad with bloodlust. That person may be the only one thinking rationally. It's not easy to escape death row, so I would rather one...
