Those beautiful mushrooms are everywhere in the Adelaide Hills. Very well known NOT to eat them though, in general. Apparently there are many other 'special' ones though which are highly sought after by them what know!
I thought the same, ErinC. She looks upset to me in that pic. Also, it isn't necessarily common custom for NZ people to remove their shoes before entering a house, but it is very common for a person of Asian descent to do so.
It seems to me that she really was just driving aimlessly, and as mentioned before, she was in a psychotic state. The bottle shop she was seen at in St Agnes is actually my local, and Port Noarlunga is around an hours drive from there, not in a straight line either. Port Noarlunga is a beautiful...
Such a huge property, and he had a long time to hide her if he killed her at home (which is the most likely possibility, don't you think?). Not to mention all the detours he could have taken to hide her if it happened on the way back to home. There is some desolate country out there. I hope she...
It would be a very lonely life for a 23 year old girl, stuck miles away from anything with two small children, particularly for a girl who didn't grow up in that situation. Very different to Germany!
I guess we're all thinking much the same as to the likely scenario, but maybe another...
That is one very lucky girl! As awful as her ordeal must have been for her, to think of the further possibilities is terrifying. As a mother of a daughter of the same age who has backpacked many times around SE Asia, the thought of receiving a message from her saying she is in a situation like...
Karen was my first thought too, but now media are linking the find to Joanne Martell, missing for almost 2 years. http://www.news.com.au/national/victoria/crime/police-scouring-bushland-after-human-remains-found-in-sorrento/news-story/cda8044d542fd4c34c5fef49175b7153
“Tomorrow we begin to celebrate Stephanie’s too short and amazing life,” Merrilyn Scott said outside Griffith courthouse today, where her daughter’s killer was just sentenced to life behind bars. "This should be her 28th birthday, the second one we celebrate without her...
Oh lord, I only have myself to blame for watching that video - although you all made it sound so interesting!! lol. And the comments.... Express train to Cray Cray Town, all aboard! Oh, and how dare they suggest that Lubbly Jubbly is actually a horrible criminal? Straight to hell for that...
JaneSA, the burnt area shown on street view in Feb 2010 seems to be a bit further east than the place where the suitcase was found. It stops just on the little clearing that leads back to the bmx track. So, if the case was left close to where it was found, I don't think the fire would be an issue.
Shoes?... yeah nah, sorry not seeing it at all. Looks like all the other million pieces of discarded junk along that highway. I've driven it more times than I care to recall, and seriously there is just so much rubbish either thrown out deliberately or accidentally lost from unsecured loads etc...
Yep - OTR is the rebranding of "On The Run". They are a 7/11 type store within a petrol station, a bit like a small supermarket. You have to pay for the petrol inside the store. Seems like every bleeping petrol station now is an "OTR"! Busy boys those Shahins!
Dutchtreat - Broadview is a suburb of Adelaide, inner north-east. Interestingly, the road it's on is used as a city bypass by trucks travelling from south to north and vice versa ....
