No offense against some folks in this thread, but I think they are getting a little carried away about what people are supposed to notice during the day. I am a single parent to a 3 year old, and getting her out the door and to the car is a major task in itself, let alone noticing everything...

I think the link to the ebay auction (I am sorry I have already forgotten the poster) a few pages back of the cross on the charm bracelet looks the most like the cross the WPD have posted. And a man could wear a charm bracelet like that with the leather strap. If he were trying to attack a woman...

I think he's having a fun old time watching us grasp at straws. He probably left that cross on purpose as a false lead just as he left her backpack right where he did. Maybe I have become too jaded, but I don't see this as anything new and exciting in this case. I don't think the WPD have...

No one ever accused me of being the sharpest knife in the drawer, and all of this is difficult to keep up with, but this is the vehicle description of the "candy man" right?

A co-worker pointed out a creepy coincidence to me just now. Two Colorado high profile cases of murders of little girls and they both have the same initials. JonBenet Ramsey and Jessica Ridgeway.

I apolgize - I misunderstood too. So there is no official release of a suspect description? Age etc?

You sound like me :) I have been keeping a close eye on EVERYONE coming and going around our neighborhood. I have always been overly cautious anyway, but lately more so.

I know what you mean. I am not sure if things are getting worse here or if there is just more coverage.

That is such a broad range between 18 and 30 - good grief that could be anyone. This is all making me fear LE has pretty much nothing to go on.

Who is really going to stop though and ask a total stranger what they are doing alongside the road at night? (assuming it was night) except LE? And I just don't think they have the manpower to be canvassing everywhere unfortunately :(

I didn't realize until seeing those how close the dump site is to the road. Someone could have quickly pulled over and left her. I was thinking it was further on a trail. So very scary.

I am not familiar with Westminster at all (I am nearly an hour south) but this being so confusing, there is a part of me that wants to go and investigate and try to re-trace her steps. Even try and get a look at the area she was left, because in the photos it looks enormous and I cannot get a...

Yes! And a passerby saw the entire abduction and thought it was a father trying to get control of his unruly child.

I am just wondering what others opinions are of this perp being caught. Being a Colorado native and seeing many of these cases here go cold I have to say I am not that optimistic, which is sad. Does anyone remember little Alie Berellez? She was abducted in broad daylight in 1993 or 92 I...

Does anyone remember the Marilee Burt case? There are some similarities - although she was older - in high school I believe. I have to admit I also pondered whether there could be a connection to the Jacob McKnight case.

It was more of a "reinactment" by two intelligent adults that would in no way resemble a real abduction. We weren't screaming and grabbing just more interested in the time factor because so many people find it impossible to believe a child can and is abducted all of the time right off of the...

I guess I should have re-phrased if the technology is ever developed. Kind of like a GPS thing.

I know what you mean. I have thought the same thing about microchipping. Many people are against it for civil liberties reasons, but can you imagine if your children were microchipped and we could see within seconds of them missing where they were?
