Jodi Arias Legal Question and Answer Thread *no discussion*

Is it true that the judge decides if the defense gets to have a surrebuttal? I heard that Nurmi filed requesting one this weekend? I read above where you said that it would be if something came up that couldn't be handled in cross, (ie., the ring), but I think that the defense could very well...

Yes, I totally agree!! On Topic - Thank you KCL for your hard work today. I am constantly thinking of the Alexander family and praying for them. I think today was a good day for the family. PASA - Thinking of you and your family member and praying for you all. We miss you.

I am not sure Jodi is capable of wishing she had done something different. I think she is thinking "If Travis would have married ME none of this would be happening. I would have the life I wanted." JMO

I'd like to know how the jury and spectators reacted to ALV telling JM if he was in her group she would put him in a time out. Thank GOD JS finally said something. She needs to rein in the DT and their witnesses IMO.. they are getting away with so much garbage. I also read that tons of people...

Vinnie Politan ‏@VinniePolitan 1h WOW... My guest on @HLNtv believes #JuanMartinez is losing the battle vs. LaViolette... Why can't HLN be honest. JM is shredding ALV and making her look like a fool. If they were more honest I would actually watch them, but I can't stomach them saying...

Nurmi is just jealous... and he won't get his mistrial. Nice try though.. pathetic.. I wonder how badly this trial will hurt his and Wilmott's career.

Michael Kiefer@michaelbkiefer Kirk Nurmi filed another motion for mistrial based on prosecutorial misconduct this morning. I assume that was the in-chambers topic. Are you kidding me?? This is the only thing they have left... Jodi is going DOWN

I just thought he isn't being very impartial for a news reporter. Of course I unfriended him. I don't have any respect for him after his post.:banghead:

A bit biased don't ya think Steve?? Thought you were a journalist who SHOULD be impartial.. guess not! (Posted on Steve Irvin's Facebook page) Steve Irvin ABC 15 News Maricopa County taxpayers have now spent 1.4 million dollars defending Jodi Arias. Now, our bulldog prosecutor can't resist...

I am still kind of new here and I hope it's okay for me to post this in this thread, (I can't keep up with the other one). Today was absolutely ridiculous. This DT has nothing they can use to try to spare their client except to manufacture these fables, ask for mistrials, complain that JA...

Hearing on another website that either Mama Arias or the aunt is wearing some kind of blue ribbon. Speculation is that it's one of the Travis ribbons, or appears to be, and people are wondering if she's switched sides or is MOCKING Travis' family. Anyone know for sure?

Thank you both. I find this unfair, but if it means she gets a fair trial and can't appeal, thats all I want. I really want this trial over and her with a needle in her arm. I hope this jury is listening and getting that Jodi is not a victim.

What is this I hear that the defense asked the family and supporters to remove their Travis ribbons and that the family refused, but supporters complied? Any info anyone??

I thought she only wanted to admit to manslaughter. I thought her argument was that if they didn't give her that, she would trash Travis.

Wilmott needs to be held in contempt. She's doing these speaking objections on purpose. It's ridiculous!!

I hope he's doing just enough to keep her from being able to appeal her conviction. That to me would be money well spent. I don't want his family to have to go through this again because she had "ineffective counsel" or some other kind of crap. Thank you for this. I actually felt a little...
