I live in the next county to the west, Baldwin County, AL--remember they lived right near the state line. Byrd is a very common sirname around here, but until these murders, I had never heard of Byrd being a given name. So it's possible that Mr. Billings has some Byrds in his family tree.

Kat, In Alabama it goes into automatic appeals, so it will be years before he mets his Maker. But maybe the mother of the children can somehow go on and try to live again.

Kat, in your #68 post there was another MySpace entry for him. When I looked at the friends, there was a picture of the little boy! It was from "The Jenkens Family". I don't know when it was added, but they might have known each other.
