I agree, the only child killers I've ever heard about in the news have 99% of the time acted alone, apart from some high profile killers like the moors murderers (UK).

Yes maybe some cognitive dissonance, people questioning their sanity for possibly thinking such thoughts about the local, friendly chemist dispenser ?

Sometimes I think they can hold suspects on lesser charges at the same time as searching for evidence of more serious crimes.

Could he have seen the girls at or near AW's house ? I'm not sure how close they're houses were to each other but from what I've read, they both lived near the bridge..could he have been stalking them ? Seeing them coming and going and following them on previous occasions? The only problem...

Thats horrendous to think about bit if he did, then he's definitely a seasoned serial killer. No way someone goes out to kill for the first time and takes something so gruesome as that as a souvenir.

I can imagine there's been quite a few, wanting to get a thrill out of everyone guessing who it could be. In this digital age I think it more likely than not but we will probably never know.
