I'm glad they're seeking the harshest punishment, stating he remembers nothing is a cop out. Being blind drunk doesn't mean diminished responsibility, unless the defendent has a diagnosed or undiagnosed mental illness that meant he lacked capacity at tge time of the murder
This is so sad to read. She had such a promising future ahead of her. I recently lost a friend to alcohol, although not directly responsible for her passing, it was the situations it put her in. I watched alcohol destroy her life and felt helpless to do anything. I can imagine this is similar to...
IMO I beleive it was premeditated, he had to have the thought in his head beforehand to approach her and then light her on fire. He also had to know that by his actions, it would cause serious harm or death. I don't buy his excuse that he was intoxicated either. I'm also curious as to his past...
I found an obituary while googling Debrina Kawam. It appears to be her fathers obituary and names his children, including Debrina. She appears to have had a sister and brother. The obituary mentions that her father was an American airforce veteran. Small consolation but she is now reunited with...
Exactly this, it shows that rough times and homelessness can affect anyone. As can mental health and addictions, not to say that Debrina had any of these ailments. RIP beautiful Debrina
Maybe they know she had a disability and haven't released that information yet? Or possibly it wasn't hers and was left there by someone else? So many unanswered questions
Following from the UK. This is one of the most horrendous cases I've heard of in a long time. More so because there appears to be no apparent motive or connection between victim and murderer. This poor women, whoever she was had a life, was someone's daughter, possibly sister or mother and did...
I sometimes have this vagal response, the last time I suffered a nasty bang to the back of my head. The sight of blood can be a trigger for me too. The doctor explained that it's a part of the fight or flight response, except some people instead of fighting or running freeze and thus is where...
Thank you Skigirl for explaining this for me, I thought it might be there was a high Greek population or something similar. The USA despite speaking the same language as the UK can be so different, we have no fraternities or sororties here.
I've been browsing this thread and watched a few YT videos about these terrible murders. I've heard/read it mentioned a few times now about Greek life, what does it refer to other than being Greek ? If you don't mind me asking ? TIA
Everything ýou have said, I couldn't agree more. I believe RA is the murderer and that he acted alone. You've put into words my thoughts and explained really well.
Agreed his clothes probably are/were quite common in the area but he was the only man witnessed on the trails/monon hight Bridge that day, in the clothes seen in the BG video and he has admitted being there and at the bridge. I can't see him or his defence coming up with an excuse for that.
It just shows how devious and psychopathic he is. He's been able to act as normal ever since murdering the girls, without any conscience or fear of being caught. His facade must be really convincing.
I agree and he probably told the CO he was there that day before they released the video, no way of getting out of it for him. I know it's taken LE a long time to catch up with him but better late than never. Libby has actually been the number one witness to her and Abby's murders. What a bright...
