Goodness me that image of ABC really hits home doesn't it :-( that is very very disturbing to see (and I am not easily rattled!). I feel so terrible for the canoeist, thank goodness they found her though. I agree, she does look quite high on the bank.

I have an interest in crime in general. What drew me in to this case was the initial way they reported it like "who would walk away from their children" or something to that effect. I thought that was unusual, probed deeper, got hooked. I'm also from that side of town originally so that makes it...

And once again you echo my thoughts exactly. It's SO important to be mindful so we aren't overly influenced by half-truths, emotive language and snippets of the picture.

Oh funny! Because whilst I think they have managed to avoid making overt speculations, in general I have found the language incredibly loaded and quite biased. This isn't necessarily a criticism either, thats just how things are in reporting. Like I said before, we all interpret things...

Allison went to IGGS and was vice captain so I can understand having a sense of nostalgia about that and wanting the daughters to have a similar experience. It's just as likely to be about following in her footsteps, a sense of connection, and the lovely experience Allison had there as it is...

Thanks for sharing! A good example of how we all interpret things in a different way ;-)

Hey! :-) Because its not that easy to just take someone's children away from them, I'm sure the children wouldn't like that either. He hasn't been charged with anything. A person of interest isn't necessarily a suspect, just someone who might be relevant to the investigation.

If I were the Dickies I would organise a trust fund too, you can only begin to imagine the extend of GBC's legal expenses.

I was under that impression too that the families are indeed in communication. They have to be because they're looking after the girls! I'm with you, I only fully take on board what the QPS has to say, and they say an awful lot when you read between the lines. The media is sensationalising...

At first glance sure it seems unkind that GBC and family weren't at the command post. But some families don't get along, and if there is some sort of tension between the 2 then it may actually have been more appropriate for them to let the Dickies be with Allison's side of the family and friends.

That's right.... And i'm sure it will come in time. Can't rush such things! It's hard to be patient. But nothing could be harder than what her family is going through. It reminds me to be really grateful for my family. I know how much I needed my mum when I was a little girl and I still do even...

Her best friend was directly quoted in the courier mail about Allison having a very busy Friday, which included attending a conference. This is in today's news so perhaps you hadn't seen that article yet.

No. I think that is unsubstantiated. I have not seen any reports about hairdressers either, only what people have mentioned in the forum.

It was reported in the courier mail today that Allison tucked the girls in and something about how Allison always goes for a morning walk but returns before the girls wake up, and that this time she was not there to greet them. I tried to find the link but could not.
