Regarding the M40 remains. I'm 100% certain I read they were not connected. I even remember the headline 'M40 remains not connected to missing airman' but I cannot find a link to any article, anywhere [emoji848] but I definitely saw it.

If that's correct, and they are used correctly there should be no confusion over drivers? They cannot be fooled as easily as the paper ones, but data can be 'altered' ....

If used... I believe Bin lorries are exempt from Tacho rules. They would still have a paper log to complete each day with their hours

IMO this is unlikely, it would come under a different charge, if Biffa wanted to prosecute. It wouldn't be a attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to the Corrie Investigation.

He wouldn't have been in or driving the bin lorry, so I don't think he could have anything to do with the phone.
I think he's given the police wrong information on the lorry/driver/destination and they want to know why.

GPS isn't as reliable, for example, losing signal. Tacho will also tell you who is driving.
So maybe related to the wrong bin/ wrong driver mix up.
JMO, I wonder if the bin in the HS, was never taken to the recycling centre. Meaning the polices 'if he was in the bin, he would have been seen'...
Yes, or on the same network. (Although EE/Orange/Virgin would work in each other's as would 02/GiffGaff)
Likelihood IMO is that phone and sim traveled together. With or without Corrie.

I believe it's the sim that causes the 'ping' its when the phone 'says hello' to the mast or is used in the area. So if Corries sim was in another phone, it would still ping as his number connecting to the network.

Personally, I think there are two possibilities.
From Corrie's behaviour leading up to the CCTV footage of him entering the horseshoe. I believe he is waiting for someone. He makes no attempt to head home, to a taxi. Despite leaving the club over 2 hours earlier.
Going into the HS, he looks...
Apparently they have ruled out him being, In, On or under it. I'm not sure how, but that was in a update from Tony. Think they combined CCTV of it leaving & the cameras on the lorry with forensics of the Lorry...
The sighting at Hollows Road, was alongside a industrial estate. Reported by a motorist as someone in light clothing at 4:30.
With checking CCTV there, and the not seeing him leave HS area, they have discounted it.
Doesn't mean someone didn't give him a lift part journey though, but if...
