This should be easy for the Prosecution:
"So Gerard, you told Ton you loved her but you really didnt"
"yes that is correct"
"So you lied"
"Yes I did"
"OK, what else have you lied about then....." :)
The defence is building a plausible counter arguement here IMO. Very clever tactics by the defence team to delay his appearance until Monday so they can pour 3 days of coaching into him.
As much as I hate to say it, if Gerard can hold up on the stand it could go either way.
Is anyone else getting worried about the words "beyond reasonable doubt" ?
The prosecution has not yet presented anything that isn't already in the committal documents. I'm hoping they have got lira up their sleeves because so far their argument isn't that strong IMO
Why would he wait until 9:51am on the day she went missing to contact his in-laws?
Surely he should have called them first to check if she was there or ask if they had heard from her before he called the police...
