Watch this space! I am assuming we may well go on lockdown here at the retirement home....if not, then "they" don't really care about us. We have MORE infected people today and quite a few who are "sick" but not taking tests...(sigh) I am taking my meals in my room....I don't understand why the...
Of course they are. Not me though. It's almost like nothing is going on that is unusual. I heard from a very reliable source today that there are THREE with Covid - one is in the hospital with it. I wish management was more transparent, since they only have said ONE person!
We don't have the...
I took dinner here tonight in my room, but it's generally frowned upon to keep doing that. We do have residents that never come out to eat but they are elderly and many of them are sickly. Most of us are vaccinated and boosted, but I know of at least two that are not so there's probably more...
It's finally happened here. Here at the retirement home we have two cases of active covid. (One in a 92 year old) Some, not all residents are back to wearing masks but here's the thing we all are still eating in a common dining room!
Dermatologist office today for appt. None of the front desk workers were masked...all of the back office staff and doctors were though. I don't understand this concept.
Went to pick up some donuts from Krispey Kreme for myself and friends afterwards- It's senior discount day so lots of us...
Here at the Retirement home, we do not wear masks at all....it is unnerving to say the least. We also have outings every week to resteraunts and the movies and stores- where none of the residents (except ME!) wear masks. I went to see Top Gun 2 and was the only person in the whole theatre...

Go to that link and you can order eight more tests for covid even if you've already ordered tests in the past. I just ordered mine again!
Here at the Retirement Home we have gone completely maskless. So far, not a single case of Covid. Is it because we are all vaxxed and boosted? I wonder every day.
The nearby assisted living facility has had 3 cases of Covid recently, where they ended up limiting visitors.
I got my 4th booster...
You can get a fourth booster now of Moderna or Pfizer...of course only if you are eligible...I'm getting mine in April at Rite Aid. (I have MS so I'll be legal..I'd still get it even if I didn't)

They just issued notice today at the Retirement Home I live at- no masks anymore for staff and visitors. Of course, residents haven't been wearing them anyways. I feel it's going to be a scary time in the future when I read about the UK and BA.2....
This here is what bothers me: delivering newspapers this morning (masked) I run into a friend who says she is "sick" but it's probably "just her asthma" - sure...she looked and sounded horrible. Said she was going to urgent care this morning AFTER she was having breakfast in the open dining room.
If you follow the scientists on Twitter, there is much about BA.2 ...Iceland is currently being slammed by this variant. I don't think it has become dominant in the US ...yet.
