    GUILTY Australia - Daniel Morcombe, 13, Woombye, QLD, 7 Dec 2003 - #2

ABC reporting that the Coronial inquest into Daniel's death will be re-opened/continued. It was suspended by the Cowan trial.

    Gerard Baden Clay's murder appeal

Spot on the knocker, Ladybird! Emotional abuse/ controlling behaviour by a partner or anybody, is hard for others to see & understand..... Often hidden behind closed doors. Even more so with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Also difficult for the recipient to really get a handle on what's...

    Gerard Baden Clay's murder appeal

Fabulous list of questions, Ladybird! Taken as a whole, altogether damning - but the absolute clincher of irrefutable hard physical evidence, was the plant evidence IMHO!

    Gerard Baden Clay's murder appeal

Thank you very much, Fuskier, for all of your great posts. Unfortunately the Courier Mail article is pay walled.

    Gerard Baden Clay's murder appeal

Thank you SO much to all for their posts from the High Court today. Crossing fingers for #JusticeForAllison. If we have to wait 6months for the outcome - it'll be difficult waiting, but it'll be worth it if GBC's murder conviction is reinstated. I feel cautiously optimistic having read the...

Bring on the appeal! Hope that the murder conviction is re-installed! Justice for Allison RIP!

    Oscar Pistorius - Sentencing - 7.6.2016

Is it correct that Pistorius remains in jail whilst any appeal of his sentence for murder is held. It's defied belief that he was not incarcerated during the long sentencing process. In most Australia he would at least have been held on remand.

    Oscar Pistorius - Sentencing - 7.6.2016

Thank you all very much for your posts, which enabled us to 'be there'. I sincerely hope the prosecution appeals this.... For Reeva, for the Steenkamps, for all women and for the future of justice in South Africa. Judge Masipa's rationale, (I use the term loosely), defies logic. And my Twitter...

    Oscar Pistorius - Sentencing - 7.6.2016

Good article in the Huffington Post, says it all. Via Twitter: The Depressing Lesson Of #OscarPistorius’s Lenient Sentence http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/the-depressing-lesson-of-oscar-pistoriuss-lenient-sentence_us_577d1cf3e4b09b4c43c1c17b

Interesting wording.... No 'serious' violence..... Hmmmm....

    Oscar Pistorius - Sentencing - 6.13.2016

Seems like the Pistorius family en masse, continue to be delusional & to think that the law doesn't really apply to them. Part of the OP 'problem' all along, methinks! IMHO

    Gerard Baden Clay's murder appeal

Thanks very much to both of you. Will it be heard in Canberra or Brisbane, does anybody know? It'd be 'great' to be there.

Oscar Pistorius - Discussion Thread #70 *Appeal Verdict*

Spot on the knocker, Tortoise! Especially this: 'I believe that without a genuine justification for shooting the perceived intruder he should be sentenced on the grounds that he is an unconfessed murderer, and he has gone to exceptional lengths to deceive the court and avoid responsibility.'...

Oscar Pistorius - Discussion Thread #69 *Appeal Verdict*

Mhiforme: how insulting you are being towards the professionalism and intelligence of Leach and other SCA members! With respect, I strongly suggest that you cease and desist such a line of comment.

Oscar Pistorius - Discussion Thread #69 *Appeal Verdict*

Thank you Mr Jitty - even as a person with no legal experience, the lack of rationale in Masipa's argument was crazy. Little logic whatsoever. I'm a layperson (who taught Legal Studies), but her fallacious 'reasoning' was shocking - particularly for such a high profile case that was being...

    Australia Australia - William Tyrrell, 3, Kendall, NSW, 12 Sept 2014 - #20

To clarify.... My post about not knowing what paedophiles there might be frequenting any given location - had nothing to do with Derryn Hinch - although I am familiar with his work re paedophiles and naming/shaming them. My point was that any of us who care for kids need to be eternally...

    Australia Australia - William Tyrrell, 3, Kendall, NSW, 12 Sept 2014 - #20

Regarding whether the whereabouts of paedophiles should be made public information - I have this to offer. I live on Sunshine Coast (from where Daniel Morcombe was abducted and killed). Residents here thought that we lived in a wonderful & safe, benign area. We were all totally shocked when the...

Oscar Pistorius - Discussion Thread #69 *Appeal Verdict*

To me it appears that his defence is to say that he's Pistorius, therefore so special that he's above and beyond the law that applies to the rest of us mere mortals. Hence trying to complicate the lawfulness etc. 'As if anybody so special who'd had firearms training ' etc etc etc 'could be...
