Perhaps she thought the building in front of the drilling yard was a house (doublewide?, not sure what they're called) and then went past it, thought that was a junkyard, heard the dog barking, then reversed course over the bridge.
KP said that she tried to get into the church, so wouldn't there have to be something on the cameras? So it was either a different building or it's just another detail LE is withholding.
I'm guessing cell, because there's what appears to be a cell tower behind the RV lot at 3165 Twin View Blvd. That would explain why the address "3169 Twin View Blvd" only seems to exist in police logs.
I think it's the obvious one because SP is alive. Sure, abductor #2 might have been otherwise engaged, but it seems logical that with one person driving, it would be ideal to have a partner to control SP and get her out of the vehicle as quickly as possible.
Anyway, Lake16 seems to think it's...
Also, regardless of their music preferences, they might have been pretty paranoid....scanning news stations, worried that someone had seen them grab SP and that the hunt had already begun.
Super creepy, and looks like an ideal spot to keep a prisoner, but wouldn't LE have done an intense house to house search if SP was only driven for 5 minutes and then released? Of course she could been driven around in circles, but if you're willing to do that, may as well drive farther away for...
Lake16 has been pretty clear that LE has clamped down on a lot of details, but has also made a point of emphasizing that SP was released by only one person.
Ok, so the obvious idea would be that one of the captors was more humane than the other. But what else? Intervention by a third party...
LE might have some leads or suspects, but...
All the warrants could have been unrelated to actual suspects, and solely been for cell phone records, cell tower data, banking info, surveillance cameras, abandoned houses etc..
If they have a suspect, they would have raided their house and/or...
KP has a background in criminal justice. CG has led seminars in Redding. Perhaps KP attended one and became familiar with the lingo. The Papinis seemed interested in self-defense and survivalist stuff. This all could have affected KP's point of view when SP was abducted. And really, what choice...
The whole CG and AD thing made a strange case even stranger. But sinister? I just can't see it. God knows that "Taken" video was unfortunate and bizarre, but CG has left a long trail of trying to work in that particular field.
I would love to know identity of the AD, and I'm pretty sure I never...
A lot of cases in Shasta county have rewards offered through an organization called Secret Witness, including the SP case. Perhaps Lake16 is familiar with it?

I don't have an opinion on whether or not SP was snatched initially for SP, simply because we don't have enough information. However, the use of masks or other forms of disguise doesn't rule it out, nor does it mean that they intended to keep her alive. SP might have escaped, or been rescued...
That is very interesting, and could well answer the central mystery: how is SP still alive? I can't imagine the two kidnappers not dumping her as a team, if that was the plan. I wonder if it's 3AM, the more sympathetic captor spirits SP into the SUV while the evil captor is asleep, pushes SP out...
I'm not sure what it's called. It has the little black "A" and the bigger blue "A" to the left of the bold and italic buttons. First button from the left.
