I can't figure out how to embed the video into this post, but if you watch the dateline video again of the surveillance footage, I noticed something interesting that I didn't see before. If you go to the 3:20 mark, it shows the first video of Brian and the other 2 going up the escalator. Look...
Yeah I can't fathom why he would choose that night to disappear if that were the case. Similarly to why I don't believe Clint was involved, there are just so many things that could have ruined his getaway that night. Did they say that the message that was played in the video was Brian's last...
In regards to going off with a band member or staff, it could definitely be possible. I wish the band and staff had been polygraphed, but I realize there isn't enough reason to test them. And you're totally right about him possibly not attracting enough attention. Not even with hopping a rail...

This link is the dateline video posted about the original story. Some time marks of interest:
5:15 shows the construction exit from the outside and another possible service exit
3:32 shows the camera footage...
. Makes sense. They were questioned though and didn't seem to give relevant information. I still wish it was made public just WHAT they were talking to him about. Even if it was small chit chat I'm still curious.
. Pulling back a snippet from BessDrew's timeline post, police said that the entrance to the construction exit was chained. This is the first I heard of it being chained, and surely someone would have noticed Brian fiddling with a chain locked door if he was trying to go out that way. Being...
Entirely possible. It doesn't say to what extent of construction there was, and if there were any deep holes for him to fall in and be cemented over in (that's the only accident I can think would happen) but it's definitely plausible. Many people also theorize that he was found by construction...
I'm going to stand by my assumption that whatever happened to Brian (provided he didn't just run away) happened at a different location than the bar. That whole area just simply has too many witnesses for nobody to notice anything extreme that might have occurred. I still think he managed to...
I would think that eventually there would be a strong smell of decaying body if it was stashed somewhere there. Cadaver dogs were brought in a couple days after his disappearance and they couldn't pick up anything so I feel like his body was moved
I always got the impression that Sam Sherman was more of a transient/nomadic person. Reports (frustratingly limited btw) say that he was "staying" in a house in Omaha, making it sound more like he was couch crashing. Maybe he was staying with a friend/relative for a little bit and looking for...
At first I thought he maybe was thrown in the Missouri River (close by to their house) but then I thought that whoever did this probably wouldn't want any body washing up. I suspect that after whoever took Jason killed him, his body was kept hidden somewhere until night and then buried. Nebraska...
I find it hard to believe that if it were hoodlums causing trouble (assuming that they were younger, maybe teens or early 20's?) that they would be able to keep this a secret for so long. Especially once reward money got offered. People talk, gossip happens, and if not that then I'd be shocked...
I mean I suppose it's possible, but again this was a Friday night/early Saturday on a busy road. Nobody would notice a 6 ft 2 man being hit by a car (or hear it?) and then someone shoving him in their car and driving away? I just can't see that being likely. Not to mention that person could have...
I feel like if he had an accident then someone would have found him. It was a straight shoot from the bar to his block and it was a busy road so someone would surely see something.
Not sure, but if you mean to suggest that he may have snuck out of one of them, I think that definitely would have caught someone's attention. Even on the video tape I think (even if they weren't sure it was him) they would focus on that if they saw someone doing that
Yeah it was from that evening. Cops had reviewed all the footage from that night and at one point they saw a man they thought could be Brian being followed by 2 other men. I trust that if his family and friends didn't think it was Brian, then it probably wasn't. Not sure how grainy that footage...
Interesting theory, but I don't think the police force would be making such high appeals to the public and offer reward money to find him. And like you said, it's so "high profile". The point of witness protection is to NOT have your picture put out everywhere haha.
That would open to door to new theories, some I believe some people on this thread may have even suggested. Maybe Brian was killed over a debt or drug deal gone wrong. His body gets hidden, and Clint doesn't talk because he was involved with the drug scene/selling drugs and doesn't want to face...
