That was all that was mentioned about the reward other than a note in parentheses after that sentence referring the reader to the letter to the editor (which we've discussed here previously) urging donations.

The reward of nearly $45,000 continues to generate almost no interest, the sheriff said.

You lost me on Pastor Jan?
To be fair about my experience, we have a lake home and during the time they were in Eatonton we were years younger and spent lots more time on weekends in and around the water so my chances of seeing them would have been very limited. My son lived in our lake house...
My son was attending college in Milledgeville (mid to late 90's) and said they had women who would hand out literature around the campus. I never saw any of them or if I did, I didn't know it.
Phone records, court orders on tap
..........
What Sills called a plausible lead a bit more than a week ago was a dead end, he said Tuesday.
..........
The sheriff said he is still waiting to receive some phone records he is seeking through a federal court order.

Per WSB - fugitive has been captured.
ETA: Billy Lee Owens captured and is not connected to the Dermond case as far as we know. Didn't want to confuse anyone....
I'm about 15 minutes or so away. One way in and out so hopefully okay here. The husband works closer and in a location that would be more vulnerable so following and trying to keep him updated.
I have a scanner app on my phone. Didn't even cross my mind to use it. :banghead: Thanks for...
No, not that we know of.
I have been following because the manhunt is not far from me.
UPDATE: At 1:30 p.m. Sheriff Brad White reported Owens was still at large. A command post has been set up at the go kart raceway on Highway 36 West. White said Owens' MO is stealing vehicles to flee...
Just read there is an intense manhunt in Lamar County near the Pike County line.
Officers and K-9s scanned the woods Tuesday evening, they said, for the fugitive, who was wanted on outstanding warrants, including burglary, gun charges and narcotics.

IIRC, those happened in Hancock County?
It was ranked as the poorest county in Georgia. I don't know currently where it stands. The town, Sparta, is like being in another world. I have never seen anything like it. High taxes and evidently few services. However, there are a lot of nice lake...
mck16's post just reminded me of the hit and run several years ago when a guy plowed over a pontoon and killed a man. Was that July 4th? Anyway, that night LE was shining lights all in and around the boat houses and properties looking for the boat. That's the only time I've seen anything like...
Yes, the Herschel story and Michonne and her sword. Gross.
I am not leaning that way either but it does have a huge following and is filmed in GA. They have been filming in my town and there are groups of people who will wait outside the location barriers all night just to get a glimpse of the...
Per your girlfriend's suggestion about fascination over a movie or a movie series, The Walking Dead comes to my mind. The story is good but oh the graphic gore and the deacapitations are too much for me. Not a similar plot at all but I have wondered about desensitization with certain types of...
