"Information Hold"? Why? You have a Jane Doe sitting in a freezer and you don't provide any information to the public asking about Sierra Lamar? No, that's not at all suspicious, is it? My head is starting to hurt. I'm sure they have reasons to do what they do, but darned if I can figure it...

What a terrible thing to deal with when you're fifteen. I feel for these girls. They are too young to have to deal with this stuff. They should be looking forward to dances and drivers' licenses, not mourning their friend.

I wonder about comparing dental records. How long does that take? Wouldn't MH police provide Sierra's dentals for comparison? Is that a lengthy process to determine possible identification?

Also, didn't he used to be a tree-trimmer? I read that somewhere here, I think. Odd that the can was found in an upscale neighborhood overflowing with big trees that would need to be trimmed...or am I now grasping at straws? I want Sierra to be found alive not remains in a garbage can but...

Perhaps they contacted MH police because the body fit a general description of the victim? Female, small boned, no clothing, long dark hair? I imagine they would do at least a cursory examination of the body before contacting police in another jurisdiction, wouldn't they? I wish I had the...

What bothers me is that the bottom of the can has scuff marks but no dirt visible. It looks really clean. Like someone washed it or else it is brand new. The other thing that bugs me is the timing of the whole thing. AGT has been in custody for THREE days. Right around the time the can was...

Holy Cow, I step away from the board long enough to eat a turkey burger and I come back to bodies in trash cans in the middle of the road????? Honestly, I have some serious catching up to do...evidently.:what:

Mark Klaas makes sense in theory, however, the likelyhood of him actually getting the needle is slim to none. So, instead, he'll wind up like Scott Peterson with a television, books, etc. with his own private cell without having to worry about getting shanked in general pop. I say, keep...

Maybe this has been mentioned, I don't really know, but did he have a cell phone? He wasn't under surveillance for over a week so would he have kept his cell phone on in the days after Sierra's disappearance? This may be why the cops keep focusing on certain areas within Morgan Hill. For one...

Holy Carp, that's a good point to make. Maybe they ought to be looking in trees, not water. Good call, Ryloga! And Welcome!!!

Speaking of Watsonville road, I wish the LE would at least consider the possibility that he drove over Hecker Pass into Watsonville, where there are a number of smallish lakes he could have dumped her in. Pinto Lake and Kelly Lake are quite close to East Lake Blvd, right off Hecker Pass. It...

Wasn't AGT arrested on Monday? Don't they usually set an arraignment for the following day? Why wait until Thursday? Perhaps hoping something would turn up during today's search? Makes me wonder.

Basically, she jumped on her friends fb and in two posts called Sierra names, not sure I can say it here but it's technically not a swear word soooo...she called her a 'dirty ho' and then her sister posted and directed people to Sierra's tumbler/twitter accounts to prove the point. All in all...

Slightly off-topic (well sort of) but I have a quick question... Looking for suggestions of websites/blogs to check out while researching this case. I used to do Scared Monkeys and The Hinky Meter...(is it okay if I name them? If not, maybe a mod will delete?) but I'm wondering about any others.

Fresno is at least 2.5 to 3 hours from Morgan Hill. You might try Salinas, Prunedale, Hollister, San Juan Bautista, Los Banos, Watsonville, Aptos, Soquel, Freedom, Santa Cruz, Capitola, Pajaro, (essentially, cities in Santa Cruz County and those in San Benito and Monterey Counties) If you look...

I wonder if they will show his wife/mother the tapes of him in the neighborhood. If you wanted to find out if mom/wife knew anything, I guess the best way do it would be show them some serious evidence. One shot of Sierra riding in his car and the wife (if she knew anything) would start...

This is EXACTLY what I've been saying! Why wasn't his dna matched with with the 2009 abduction attempt??? The perps dna goes into CODIS, so what happens to the dna of an unknown suspect left at a crime scene? Isn't it entered in CODIS as well? Why wasn't there a hit? Thank you! You...

Okay, could someone help me to understand this...this guy's dna was in CODIS due to a crime in which he was never prosecuted, yet he was not linked to the attack in the safeway parking lot until after investigators determined (also through CODIS) that his dna was on Sierra's 'property'. How...
