Jodi Arias trial discussion #21 *may contain graphic and adult content*

Yes, so true! If someone tells me they don't like animals (cats are my favorite animals, but I love dogs, rabbits, mice, birds you name it), all kinds of red flags go up. At least for me. I'm not saying everyone should love them as much as I do (but that would be great, IMO), but to not like...

Jodi Arias trial discussion #21 *may contain graphic and adult content*

OMG!!! I'm coming into this a bit late (housework all day yesterday, fell asleep around 9 pm last night). This ebay listing is an ATROCITY! Immediately went sick to my stomach. How can someone be so heartless? OMG...just OMG. :furious:

Trial break: The State vs Jodi Arias; trial resumes 4 February 2013

Well, this bleary-eyed cat is off to bed. I've been here off and on almost all day and done so much reading I've worn out my eyeballs. No complaints at all, though. Learned a lot and met some new folks along the way. Websleuthers are a wonderful bunch and I'm happy to be here. Have to catch up...

My brain's sluggish, too, Linda. I think that was a study he did back in the early 90s, if I remember correctly.

For anyone interested in psychopath's/sociopath's speech patterns: From Legal and Criminological Psychology, vol 18, issue 1 "Hungry like the wolf: A word-pattern analysis of the language of psychopaths" (pdf) published Sep 14, 2011...

Melatonin, I can't stay asleep without it. It doesn't make me sleepy, but helps keep me asleep at night. Otherwise, I wake up in excruciating pain (from a medical condition, faulty nerve sheaths). I take one 5 mg tablet about 20 minutes before bed. Every night. I've done this for years. It helps.

That's a horrible, unspeakable crime! Technicalities like these are made for criminals, from what I've seen.

My hubby agrees with the prosecution. Can't imagine what chaos life would be if he didn't. j/k. I've been watching the trial since day one and he sits through some of it when he's home for lunch (we're several time zones away from AZ, so unless they've gone to recess, court plays during...

Trial break: The State vs Jodi Arias; trial resumes 4 February 2013

Yup, lol, this one ran a couple crayons in with the wash, then into the dryer, and had to explain why hubby's tidy-whities came out tie-dyed. He thought I did it on purpose (non-conformist me), but bless his heart, he still wore 'em. :floorlaugh:

Katie, for the life of me, I cannot fathom one instance where you have/ever would cause pain to a victim's family. Not one. My dear, you have been there yourself, in their shoes, as have many WS posters here. Your posts clearly show empathy for the victim and the victim's family. I say with all...

Trial break: The State vs Jodi Arias; trial resumes 4 February 2013

Absolutely. No one can "make" anyone else do anything; a person considers their options and makes their choice. Granted, sometimes the options are limited, but sane people take responsibility for their own actions. Unstable people, however, believe others drive them to commit acts, and that by...

I think that was Ryan Burns, the guy she went to see after slaughtering Travis.

I believe what was drawn was a Pentagon, a satanic symbol. The star points down. A Pentagon star points upward and symbolizes Wicca. Edit: read p e n t a g r a m. Not Pentagon, lol

I don't know what was going through Arias's twisted mind as her actions are inconceivable. She might have taken the photos, hoping to "win" Travis back once he found them on his camera? She might have deleted them after she determined that he wasn't taking her or canceling the trip because she...

I agree--I don't think Arias knew (was it Chris and Skye Hughes?) were going to Cancun as well. And Mimi did state that she and Travis were just friends...but of course, Arias would see her as a rival. And I think you're absolutely onto something here--she could have taken the nudie pix and...

This makes sense, the tendency towards addiction, I believe, at least in part, is genetic.
