Yeah, it's somewhere on this thread, I think. An ex-girlfriend testified in front of the grand jury, was it? And IIRC, she wasn't pleased about it? I could be remembering wrong. Sadly, there are so many stories like this that sometimes the details blend together. :(

That's what strikes me so strongly about razing this house. Of course it's something that needed to be done but it screams out to me that these kids are still gone. Nothing can ever change that and that stinks.
I've been searching the web, wondering if there's anything new out there regarding the lovely couple. I haven't found anything definitive but did find a Vanessa Pond at e-pregnancy.com. Unfortunately, there's no information there so who knows who that might be. There are some Ponds at flickr...
I was just looking at their Target registry again and saw that they asked for a tin sign that has a Beatles quote ... "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make". I can't imagine how it is that different people can see the same thing in such different ways. She does...
Barbaric animals. They honestly don't deserve to live, IMO. And if that makes me a barbaric animal as well, so be it.
Razing that house was necessary. Thank God it's gone. If only that could bring back these kids. :(
Well, it did no good in terms of her being found but everyone knows about the story, everyone knows Joran van der Sloot and would probably think twice about getting involved with him. In that sense, it would have helped a lot to make Raven's life a little less comfortable. As it is right now...
It seems obvious to "normal" people like us that a killer that's gotten away with it shouldn't tempt fate by trying again but it's happened many times in the past. Think Drew Peterson, (although he's not been tried or even charged yet).
I wonder if that would be different if Raven had been on the news as much as Scott Peterson. Raven can walk along any beach, through any mall, in any supermarket, etc., and virtually no one would recognize him at all. If he had been smeared all over the news like Peterson, I wonder if then it...
I wish I still believed this. I have lost all hope of an arrest. I do believe that they know it was Raven. I also believe that he MIGHT be arrested some day if a fresh set of eyes looks over stuff or if he slips up somehow or more witnesses come forward, etc. But if all things remain the...
I'm still not sure if I think it's insecurity or arrogance. I'm not convinced that she isn't attracted to the "danger", thinking that she's the woman that can tame him, so to speak. She does seem pretty into herself so I can definitely see her being the type to assume that she is somehow...
Oh God, let's hope that this doesn't mean he's going to be thinking up an impromptu plan in regards to how to make up for that money he's losing!
IMO, if she was a good mom, she would never have involved her daughter in a life with a murderer, let alone never create another child with said murderer.
