I wonder if the TBI guy is there as a 'just in case' there's a verdict. Just like many of us may believe Fridays are great verdict days. I dunno-- I don't trust anything from the TBI after this case.
Did the jury see a photo or photos of ZA around the arrest time? With that meth face and much different build, he looked downright scary. During the trial, even beyond being put in a suit, he looked like he could be the good boy next door.
I used to be a sales trainer and her speaking style reminds me of some of my worst students. Humans react to story-telling, not a fire hose of sentences.
Assuming you think this whole group is guilty, do you believe it was premeditated for a while (even if for a day or so), meaning they picked Holly and planned out the who/what/when/where for the abduction? Or do you believe it was spur-of-the-moment, like they were so meth'ed out that morning...
I've been trying to explain this crime/trial to my husband and just cannot find the right words to describe the defendant, witnesses and the things that have been brought up. Simply that so many just weren't very phased by raping, killing, dismembering and dumping someone has my mind scrambled.
That boiled my blood yesterday when he callously said there was nothing to see there since they all alibi-ed each other. Like these upstanding young gentlemen would always tell the truth and couldn't possibly be involved w/ this. :facepalm: <modsnip>
I'm catching up now on this morning's testimony. Thought I remembered someone saying this TBI agent was dismissed (or something like that) for misconduct w/ this case. Do we know what that means?
The defense atty certainly has my sympathy. She is tasked with trying to defend this man who I believe clearly did it, and she has little to work with. But she's seemingly so bad, I can't help but think we will have an 'Elle Woods' moment from Legally Blond that blows the case up and ZA walks...
I watched the trial feed yesterday & today for the first time. After following so many other trials, I can honestly say I've never seen such a parade of convicts, drug users & enablers in all my life.
