If you have been complaining that you have had trouble with your car for days and needed to take your child to the hospital, would you not go to the closest one? And would you not be sure that you have your cell phone before leaving?

I think that you may have misunderstood my post. I am in total agreement with you. I am a legal studies major who is going into criminal law and has volunteered for 12 years on post conviction capital appeals in cases where innocence and wrongful conviction is the issue. I have seen misconduct...

Clearly you and I are COMPLETELY different people than Julia. What was the quote? Something about her giving them access to the car, apt, etc. What more can she do?

ITA! I am leaning way more towards empty, myself. ;) Even if something had happened to him as recently as mediation, leaving M behind to go to bury him or hide his body somewhere would not be out of the norm, it seems, so she really didn't have a timeline very limited by her children.

The attorney is acting as a buffer. All communication is going through the attorney. She appears cooperative, they don't get to talk to her (or see her actions, factial expressions, body language, etc.). The attorney probably made it clear early that all communication would be through them...

That is a possibility, but since the blanket was still in the car, I am leaning more towards the blanket being empty in the first place, or Sky being well secured in something that would not allow scent or drainage on to the blanket. I am thinking that Sky has been missing for a while. At best I...

I can't see being able to secure a child in a 4 (or 5) point harness very well while "wrapped" in a blanket. Whenever I took my sick kids to the hospital, I put them in the seat and tucked the blanket around them.

I know, but someone replied to me asking about her doing that with her being homeopathic/organic saying that she could have been using melatonin and gave a link to an article about people using that with their kids. I am curious about how safe that would be at that age. My daughter has a blood...

I am catching up from the other thread and I saw the possibility that she could have given the child melatonin...but is this something you would give a 2 year old? I know what it is, I just question the safety of a child that young. Also, as to the gas, I think that zombie squirrels put it...

Not even to run back into the house and grab something. If we forgot it and we can leave without it, we leave without it. If we can't leave without it, all three kids get back out of the car and come in with me. Pain in the butt, but easier than burying one of my kids. I had it out with...

I don't know how it is in WA, but here they can keep whatever they want a secret as long as it is revolving around an investigation.

I am wondering why Miss Homeopathic Organic mama would use drugs to get her child to sleep. I am not organic or homeopathic. I get my kids all of their shots and take them to the doctor when need be and put them on the meds they tell me to for the length of time they tell me to. But I try to...

Snipped by me, respectfully for space :thud: Really? The press conference cut out for me just before the end. Well, I wonder what drugs she was using. I guess I can add that possibility to my list of similarities. Ugh! :furious: This is going to end very badly.

I am also wondering if LE didn't also take a page from the Anthony Saga and have decided to just keep everything quiet. The advantage of not arresting her, since she has already has a lawyer is that they don't have to start handing anything over until after an arrest has been made. I don't...

Maybe they pulled some security camera footage from the place where she lives and saw that she left with M and a blanket and no Sky. If that were the case, and no one has seen the child in 2 weeks and security camera footage proves the same, then maybe they just don't want to waste resources on...

You know what that sounds like to me? It sounds like "Meh, I gave you what I got. You figure it out." :furious: Reminds me of someone else with lots of crazy stories (read: lies) who wouldn't talk to the public. I swear, I am beginning to think more and more that this was practically...

Yes, they are allowed in court, but if someone is guilty, it rarely, if ever, gets in. Both sides must agree to allow it, and one side always wants it left out. But you are right, they can get in! ETA: And being a legal studies major, I know why you wouldn't want to take one, but if it were my...

I'm hoping for that too, but I am really worried that the family doesn't want to answer questions on a poly about her mental stability, if she has ever done anything that would be abuse, if she has ever expressed a possibility that she may harm (or even hide) the kids, etc.

I don't know. I think that ship sailed when she made up the bogus gas story. Insanity defenses rarely fly. Remember, "insanity" is not a medical or psychiatric term. It is a legal term that boils down to "you don't know right from wrong." Making up stories to cover up what really happened...
