This whole yacht story is weird ... the first article said he didn't see DM (or the girl) when the boat was dropped off, now he say's DM was looking for a refund because he returned the boat early.
My guess, based on how casual they are walking around/near that object, is that it isn't human remains. The fact that they'll filled in the holes so quickly seems to confirm that as well.
