No problem! It’s always good to double check, especially in a situations like this where there are a lot of emotions involved. It’s just such a tragedy that seems like it could have been avoided in several different ways.

It’s not definite proof or anything, but the article I linked has quotations from the Meigs County District Attorney, including him saying that the deputy appeared to be texting and radioing. Again, not definite or any real evidence but a quote from an involved official holds more weight than...

“The deputy . . . appeared to be texting and radioing while driving in a poorly lit area he was unfamiliar with.” It’s disturbing that the deputy is focused on while the poor woman who died as possibly a result of his negligence is barely mentioned.

Here’s a recent article about this young woman. It discusses some of the online speculation about her and the possibility that she is Amber Rae Johnston.

Police have declared a crime scene after an “item of interest” was found. It doesn’t sound good. Her poor family.

A Facebook group has proposed Amber Rae Johnston which looks like a good possibility!
