I don't know how to make a map, but Water Street, where the parking garage is, runs parallel to the Downtown Mall. The garage is at 3rd SE and Water. If you keep going down Water Street, it eventually starts to turn and ends up going under the Belmont Bridge.

It's not a shopping mall in the sense I believe you are thinking of. It's a portion of Main Street which was bricked over in the 70s and closed to cars except for a couple of crossovers, one near each end. No escalators. The outdoor eating areas for the restaurants, fountains, trees, etc. are...

The Belmont Bridge is an overpass of Avon Street where it crosses over Water Street. It is right next to the Charlottesville Pavilion.

UVA students mostly go to the Corner, which is an area of restaurants, bars and shops near where Hannah lives. The Downtown Mall is about a mile or so away--easily walkable. There are also trolleys that take students there. She is also a second-year. It would be very strange if she were not...

Because we have had too many missing persons cases in Cville in recent years. My own thought is that she was intoxicated, got lost, and had an accident. I hope they find her safely. If she's not okay, I hope it was an accident and not yet another murder. :(

If you know the area, you'd see she left the university area and walked through a blue-collar neighborhood, then came to McGrady's, then walked past the Shell. That road is all businesses, but a really weird mix, not really a strip. Then once she got to the Downtown Mall, that's a trendy area...
