Found Deceased Germany - Liam Colgan, 29, Scottish tourist, Hamburg, 10 Feb 2018

I'm just trying to think what would cause a man to leave a bar without his friends, without telling them, especially a man who had organised the whole thing. I wonder if he actually got a bit lost in the bar, drunk, got chatting with someone, as you do, turned round and the group were gone. He...

Inverness Airport does not fly to Germany. You would need to go to Edinburgh probably. I assume they were all meeting at Edinburgh Airport including the person 'leaving Carnoustie'.

Good point, it's quite a reasonable sized road.

A few hints in here: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/claudia-lawrence-married-father-arrested-5388274#ICID=sharebar_twitter

The police did say it was within half a mile from her home, so the Star could just be sensationalising.

I haven't heard anything about how the charge of perverting the course of justice came about or what it was for. Must have been serious enough.

It is definitely not the previous suspect's house or his mothers house. The Telegraph have got this one wrong.

Yes, current info is that the new suspect hasn't been charged before and is married with two kids, which is not the one I think they are referring to in the article.

Thats an interesting article but somewhat contradicts what I have read elsewhere about this being a new arrest.

Totally Wacko by the looks of it, but still closer to the truth than the police IMO

I think this will blow wide open very soon. I also think the police know but can't or couldn't prove it. My guess is at least 2 if not 3 involved.

The pub does seem to be key though

This is a curious case. There is certainly more than one involved in a cover up.

The police have been watching this guy for years it seems. Reminds me of a case in bournemouth where they knew who had murdered a woman in her own home, but they wanted to wait until they had evidence which would 100% send him down. They put him under surveillance for 3 years before catching him...

I wonder if this guy could be the left-handed smoker seen on the bridge early that morning with a woman matching Claudia's description? Also, something that grates is that this well turned out guy had a noticeably run down and manky house. Really awful with filthy nets, broken pavings and...

    scotland yard investigation

Interesting choice of words indeed. This article about spotting a liar and in particular point 2 just about covers this: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/sandi-mann/how-to-tell-if-someone-is-lying_b_4063357.html?icid=maing-grid7%7Cukt4%7Cdl11%7Csec1_lnk2%26pLid%3D216708

    pick tv

Just watched it. Nothing new or interesting to add. Still no mention of the timeline before 8.30pm and I just cannot understand why. Surely, it should at least be considered as important considering this was the last time MM was seen alive. I don't think the Met are competent OR they are trying...
