Finding Abby FB page just posted: Tomorrow morning, Zenya will be on Good Morning America. She did an interview today with the Emmy nominated, investigative journalist, Michele Mcphee. The interview will air between 7 and 9 am.
Agree the more the better to get the word out about her! Doesn't really matter who runs the pages, they should all be collaborating to get Abby home. The fact that there is any drama is sad and wasted energy.
I live in the area too - North South Road is not a dead zone for Verizon...might be for AT&T (which is why we changed service, too many AT&T dead zones here).
We have only one High School that covers Bartlett, Jackson, Glen, and North Conway (and several other area towns), so all of her friends would be at Kennett. A few might be at Fryeburg Academy, but with an $18K price tag for those not living in Fryeburg, likely very few.
Dundee Road is a long mountain (not very well maintained) road that connects Rt 16A in Intervale to Jackson. 16A is accessed off Rt 16 after the scenic overlook - several miles north of North Conway (no where close to Abby's school or home).
Wish we could do more, as locals we feel helpless. This is such a safe area, we rarely lock our doors and I don't think twice about hiking in the woods alone - very scary if she was taken by someone....praying that she is found safe soon. My husband was out for 11 hours the day he volunteered-...
My husband joined a search team last week with the White Mountain Milers, a few of them joined a fish & game line search - the reason that they don't want locals in the woods searching is because they are are afraid that people will get lost in the woods and then they will have to use resources...
