Thanks for staying on top of everything relating to this case, borndem. Your updates are the best!
So glad things turned out the way they did in this trial. I know nothing will bring Jamie back, but it's comforting to know that justice has been served. I really don't see an appeal working in...
I thought someone earlier in the thread mentioned hearing around town that this was motivated by money? I believe they said JO knocked on the Codd's door demanding more money for his work and they said no.
I thought it was interesting DT commented on that picture on DM's Facebook two times in a row. Especially given that she commented twice before anyone else did. Makes me think she frequented his page.
I think the fact that DM was stabbed in the back is significant. If this was a stranger that...
I think a previous article talked about a friend saying texts received from either JT's or Cristie's phone did not sound like them. It's very possible JO kept their phones and texted people to keep people from noticing that they were missing. I also believe he called Zebb's employer the day...
I just read through this whole thread, and these last two pages have given me chills.. Especially when I looked up a picture of DT. Certainly hope there will be movement in this case soon.
I second those sentiments, Gorealtors. This tragedy will never make sense, but I am relieved that there is justice for Jamie.
If anyone would like to do something to honor Jamie's memory , please consider donating or volunteering for the Jamie Kirk Hahn foundation. The foundation does wonderful...
So relieved at the jury's verdict. I was surprised the jury came back as quickly as they did. I figured it might be 3-4 hours, but I'm so glad Nation and Jamie's family and friends didn't have to wait long.
I thought the victim impact statements were very powerful. I appreciated the lack of...
I haven't been able to watch the closing arguments yet, but got unexpectedly emotion upon hearing that the jury was deliberating. Not sure my nerves can take the wait.
Anyone have any guess on how long these deliberations may take?
I couldn't find anything on him either. I wish we could find some info on some of his previous trials.
I'd just like to know what others in the legal community think/thought of him. I'm also curious as to if this style of questioning is the norm for him.
I'm not saying it's logical or effective, but it seems he wants to make the jury think that a. There is important info they don't know and b. he wants them to discount JB's tone/demeanor from the 4/26 interview. Basically, he wants the other interview to make them feel like they don't have...
Okay. This is starting to make a bit of sense. I think in the other interview JB must've been much more emotional. Arbour knows the interview from the 26th made him sound cold and calculating. Want jurors to think that was just due to meds and suggest that he was totally off his rocker the night...
What kind of stuff do you think is in there? I wouldn't be surprised in JB had told a pretty elaborate lie or used it as an opportunity to victim-blame NH and JH. Or to try to spread lies about them. Given JB's history of not telling the truth, it seems likely. I think the defense wants the jury...
What do you mean more than meets the eye? As in someone else was involved? I'd really like to know what makes you think that. I heard a lot of details about the case before the trial through friends, and nothing ever made me think there might be more to the story.
Can someone fill me in on the...
I think there was a previous interview conducted on the 23rd, if I heard that correctly. I think he also made issue of them not playing the whole interview though too.
I think this is Arbour attempting to create some sort of doubt. I'm not sure why they won't play that interview though. Who knows what kind of crazy stuff JB may have said. He could've said he and NH had been involved(more than platonically) at some point in the past or that NH knew what he was...
I haven't been watching today, so not sure what the issue was with the interviews. I've just been getting updated on twitter and from friends. Does anyone know if these motions could become an issue at a later date? Like in the appeals process? I don't know much of anything about this sort of...
Just thought it was weird that he initially said he wasn't going to go through education/experience (he may have said what a detectives duties are), then after that objection, he did exactly that. Seemed like it was meant to piss everyone off.
Are they really suggesting JB tried to hurt himself...
