Forgive my lack of knowledge , but surely if they were on the run with LE actively looking for them , this account would have been tracked for any activity ?
It has seemed to me for a while that if a person was to escape from that area undetected , in a vehicle , the safest way appears (to me at least) to be across the shallow-ish part of the river around the bend past the bench area .
Across into Hall Ln , into a vehicle and eastbound.
I don't know...
So at least we have that HE went by and saw the phone on the bench ( admittedly led by the sky reporter ) .
And that he went by after the dog had been tied up. How he found it we don't know because the reporter interrupted him .
Replied just to add that it's not just stigma .
It is also viewed ( not saying in this case in particular) as downright sinful for religious people ( of certain religious groups).
Two milleniums of being told " to hell " are not simply going to go away in a couple of libertarian decades , IMO .
