    FOUND DECEASED - WA - Lindsey Baum, 10, McCleary, 26 June 2009

This is my thinking also. The low probability that an innocent DG was located at the time and place of the abduction coupled with his placement near the remains a few weeks later - 180 miles away - makes the circumstantial case very strong. We know of no other such connection in this crime. So...

    FOUND DECEASED - WA - Lindsey Baum, 10, McCleary, 26 June 2009

I agree something is off, or some detail is missing. Adults die in the middle of nowhere for all sorts of reasons, but not a 10 year-old person less than 5' tall. That should have set off alarm bells.

    FOUND DECEASED - WA - Lindsey Baum, 10, McCleary, 26 June 2009

Yep, certainly possible. I'm curious about the other victim also but haven't seen anything about it yet.

    FOUND DECEASED - WA - Lindsey Baum, 10, McCleary, 26 June 2009

The area where they are searching is several miles away, so I suspect the find in October is unrelated. Based on the video (linked in this thread) they are searching the immediate area around Riders Camp on National Forest Road 31.

Finding Jacob Wetterling - The 27-Year Investigation From Kidnapping to Conclusion

ELOC, I was not aware that DH's gun had been located. Was this the murder weapon?

APM's In The Dark Podcast Series

I just meant that snatching up a boy at night with a gun, terrorizing him, driving him all over the place, doing whatever he really did to him, then shooting him to death in the cold of night is disgusting. And it made it all the more disgusting how so much was overlooked while a family suffered...

APM's In The Dark Podcast Series

Just heard the last podcast. This story started out with the admittedly naive hope of finding Jacob. When I discovered he had in fact been murdered I sensed disgust. After hearing those podcasts, the story is now thoroughly disgusting. The Big Valley. The Sanner interviews. The well constructed...

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #2

More a slob than a psychopath, but yes, I agree, I think he threatened to kill them.

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #2

I'm skeptical of any connections outside MN, but who knows? The U.S. attorney in that linked video did, in so many words, imply that DH did in fact continue this behavior over the last 27 years. If he did, I think its more likely there are survivors out there that just haven't reported the...

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #2

I briefly read up on that case and it is so loaded with gossip and bad information that I'm afraid it is impossible now to separate fact from fiction.

Ok, just didn't want to look out of place. I'll wear one.

I travel between CA, TX and RI often. Yes, I will thread Minneapolis into one of my trips. First time in MN.

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #2

Will a lot of people from MN be wearing white ribbons probably?

Was just going to ask. I think a few of us are, yes.

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #2

One of the kindest things I think I've heard said about Jacob, and very true. He most certainly did, in ways he couldn't have imagined.

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #2

Someone here said something earlier both shockingly simple and brilliant. Maybe he didn't have the gas money to take Jacob anywhere. That, combined with all the heat on him, might have made him feel it was too risky to leave that field in his car with Jacob in it.
