Quick report back...
A perfectly organised rally - the audio visual was impressive and professional, huge turnout, it was all so well put together. Towards the start there was a TV helicopter buzzing above - the big screen at KG square was tuned to the news so we could all see the copter vision...
Me too - plus around the time she died she was trying to organise a catch-up with the lady who first alerted her to the affair. Makes me think she wanted to see if the friend (Wendy Mollah?) had any new info or could keep an ear out for her.
Secret to the court proceedings (and the public until now) I'd assumed. The intent of the letter is to get answers from Gerard and explain the impacts on her to him. I doubt she got much of a response seeing as that was an issue raised with the counsellor - he wouldn't discuss it. Why it wasn't...
I'm wondering about the timing of Allison's 'Dear Gerard' letter https://au.news.yahoo.com/sunday-night/features/a/24497917/the-letter-dear-gerard/
It mentions 'as this year draws to a close', that it was started on Sept 17 2011, and the last date mentioned is 25/11/2011. I'm wondering if the...
Exactly, it could have narrowed it down to just 3 persons - 2 of which could potentially be excluded with other observations (hair colour, width etc). This was all discussed a while back; there are links in the first batch of posts - interesting stuff!
Yes, a typo here and there is no biggie I agree. However, the statements are absolutely peppered with them to the point of being difficult to read. They're serious legal documents where basic clarity and accuracy should have been paramount.
Mitochondrial DNA is present in the rest of the hair - useful enough when the siblings are all known. Unfortunately the bleaching process degrades DNA in the hair. Future methods may be able to extract more, or there may be other ways (non-DNA) of comparing the crime scene hair with known hair...
One thing that has really bugged me about the police statements is the consistently poor grammar and spelling - it's truly appalling! Reading them after the bail hearing didn't exactly fill me with confidence in the investigation, I'd have to admit.
Has anyone ever made a police statement? I'm...
Clever move by the judge in his sentencing remarks. By setting parole at the minimum it won't be a reason for an appeal, but his comments certainly meant "and when I say '15' I mean 'at least 20' ".

So even if the prosecution believed she was never in her PJs, why didn't they call his bluff? It would have worked in their favour either way. Lean on him that the PJs were never found and point out what that implies - they had incriminating evidence. Either that gets emphasised along with more...
While we're waiting - this new movie looks interesting. Ben Affleck plays a guy suspected by all the US of killing his wife - here's the trailer:

Channel 7 has said they have reporters at court and in Brookfield, 'covering all angles'. It's one random tweeter jumping to an incorrect assumption. The girls' current school is nowhere near either and also still in school holidays, not to mention the strict media ban on the children.
Hehehe - someone just posted on twitter:
This just in. Jury asks Justice Byrne for clarification on difference between guilty and not guilty... #badenclay #joke
