  1. missmargot

UK Stefan Watkins, 47, ‘45 yr female arrested’ Warwick, 7 May 2023.

I just saw this on the Warwickshire police Facebook page and came straight here to see whether there was a discussion. I know we can’t discuss the comments on the police’s post, but they are interesting.
  2. missmargot

UK - Constance Marten & Mark Gordon charged, Newborn (found deceased), Bolton Greater Manchester, 5 Jan 2023 #7

I am so frustrated that MG didn’t give evidence. It feels like we barely know him when we heard so much from CM, so a big part of the jigsaw is missing.

UK - Constance Marten & Mark Gordon charged, Newborn (found deceased), Bolton Greater Manchester, 5 Jan 2023 #7

That is how I interpreted it. MG keeping quiet means the spotlight is firmly on CM and IMO Femiola is trying to ensure nobody thinks MG was pulling the strings here. MOO

I don’t think it has to be one or the other. CM’s family and the trustees may well have made life very difficult for her, alongside her own unquestioningly poor decisions. A pattern of unhealthy relationships (the cult and a 10 year relationship with a registered sex offender) would usually have...

UK - Constance Marten & Mark Gordon charged, Newborn (found deceased), Bolton Greater Manchester, 5 Jan 2023 #6

I have just caught up with the last few days in court, the balanced and informative posts on here, the press coverage and the podcasts. CM’s family dynamic is really interesting. Quite where the line between CM’s paranoia and her family’s controlling or sinister behaviour lies I don’t know...

UK - Constance Marten & Mark Gordon charged, Newborn (found deceased), Bolton Greater Manchester, 5 Jan 2023 #6

I have just caught up on The Trial and In Court and have some thoughts. Firstly, MG refusing to confirm where Victoria was born. I wonder why? Is it crucial to their timeline in some way or does he simply not know what version CM had given at this stage and so is saying nothing? Secondly, his...

UK - Constance Marten & Mark Gordon charged, Newborn (found deceased), Bolton Greater Manchester, 5 Jan 2023 #5

The more I hear the sadder I become. The whole case is just terrible, the completely avoidable death of a tiny baby and the likely suffering of the older children in the past. The sense I get is of mental illness and spiralling chaos rather than calculated cruelty. The end results are no less...

UK - Sara Sharif, 10, found murdered in house, Surrey, Aug 2023 *POIs sought*

I would expect that CAFCASS were involved in the custody case as a minimum. As others have said, it’s very unusual for a custody case to result in full custody with the father and what seems like no court ordered contact with the mother But it sounds as if they should have been protecting her...

UK - Sara Sharif, 10, found murdered in house, Surrey, Aug 2023 *POIs sought*

My earlier post crossed over with the latest revelations. I’m also now thinking she was alive when they left. I feel sick, this is horrific.

UK - Sara Sharif, 10, found murdered in house, Surrey, Aug 2023 *POIs sought*

What I am really struggling to understand (apart from the very obvious point about a 10 year being killed in their own home), is why the family didn’t conceal or dispose of her body away from the house. It wouldn’t be impossible to effectively dispose of a child’s body, particularly one that...

Found Deceased UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London - Clapham Common area, 3 March 2021 *Arrests* #11

The reality is that it’s almost impossible to prove a negative. There could be a hundred unlikely ways that they could have known each other, although I would imagine the police have investigated and ruled out so many of them that they have felt it safe to say that they weren’t known to each...

I’ve been thinking the same. It is a long way to drive with a kidnapped woman in the car. The streets were well lit, he would have had to stop at traffic lights and you’d expect her to try to attract attention or try to escape if not restrained or immobilised in some way. IMO.

If EC is on bail, does that mean she can’t leave the country? Maybe bailing her rather than just releasing her is a strategy to ensure she doesn’t disappear to her home country when there could be further questions to answer, IMO.

UK UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London - Clapham Common area, 3 March 2021 *Arrests* #7

I have read the different news reports and I’m unsure how to interpret them. Is it the case that a complaint was specifically made against WC for indecent exposure, or was a complaint made of indecent exposure which, if investigated, would have led them to WC?

UK UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London - Clapham Common area, 3 March 2021 *Arrests* #7

All of my friends who are in the police force have social media accounts under assumed names, or nicknames. But, as others have said, I would imagine any account he did have has been taken down by now.

I agree and it is also very scary simply that there are so many unsolved missing person cases. We all know that thousands of people go missing and their cases are never solved, but seeing so many names listed like that really brings it home.
  18. missmargot

UK UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London - Clapham Common area, 3 March 2021 #4 *Arrests*

I can see a scenario where an individual with police ID pulls over to a lone woman to tell her she is being followed and offers to drive her home safely. She feels reassured as he’s a police officer, even if off duty, so gets into the car. However, Deal is a very long way to drive an...

UK UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London - Clapham Common area, 3 March 2021 #4 *Arrests*

Even if he wasn’t on duty he could still have shown her his police ID which convinced her to get into his car. That’s if she didn’t know him, which is possibly looking more likely in my own opinion. As for the woman arrested for assisting him, the theory of it being his mother would make a...
