The longer this goes on without finding her the deeper my hearts sinks as does my optimism. Especially with all these recent changes such as GS being added to the TBI's most wanted top 10 list...

so far nothing new, just telling people to get out and check their properties for signs that someone may have been there (such as the wrapper of the underwear package he bought) and that the reward has been upped. Reiterating again that this is very serious and that she is in danger and that the...

People put too much stock in dogs who can be just that...dogs. They're not 100 percent all the time and environmental factors always play a huge roll. In this case there was a fire as well as days since she disappeared.

search dogs aren't magic and they're also not always right. with the fire going on it could also mess with their sense of smell as smoke has such a strong scent.

it happens all the time, suicide generally comes out of the blue. the person can suddenly appear to be very happy, elated, and calm. i've attached a link from harvard that discusses this in length. http://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/suicide-often-not-preceded-by-warnings-201209245331

I'm sure they've already exhausted their efforts with the phone pinging. As it's been stated earlier in the thread and as I personally know from when i worked in Goshen, VA and have driven through Skyline to get there your phone signal can get pretty spotty especially around where her car was...

her car was a 2009. i posted the specs up a few posts earlier and GPS was not standard or an option at the time. Her gps in the car would more than likely be a garmin or her phone.

http://www.cars.com/mini/cooper-s-clubman/2009/standard-equipment/ Here are the specs for the car she drove, since it's from 2009 GPS navigation wasn't standard then. She could of course have a gps in the car that she used instead of her phone and google maps or waze while driving.

Having worked summer camp with boy scouts a few of them would go off and hike on their own but they would always at least let us know the area they were going even if it was just for a morning run around the camp lake. It's so crucial.

No problem I know not everyone has been lucky enough to be out there and a lot of people are very visual. I'll keep an eye out for any videos that may show more of what the entire trail is like as well but I'm at work right now.

LE has specifically stated they aren't looking for volunteers. the press conference was them just pleading to the public for prayers and if you saw anything or see anything to call the authorities.

when I lived in NoVa these areas were never as busy during the week as they are during the weekend it's the same where I am now in Florida. with that sad though, someone did comment on the Find Nicole page that she and her roommate saw a woman pull into a parking area around there in front of...

http://www.hikingupward.com/SNP/WhiteOakCedarRun/ this is the trail that I keep seeing being mentioned. Also it's about 84 miles from woodbridge to syria (about an hour and forty minute drive) if you take 95 down to Fredericksburg then head out towards Syria. 76 miles if she just took US 29.
