Yup. I just came to check because I was wondering why there was no news on this yet.

That's the thing. Since the house was in foreclosure (and they were squatting), a check wasn't needed for record keeping. It makes no sense, to me, why he wouldn't take the cash. So yes, I think he lied. At the very least, if he didn't lie, she had the money on her, and someone stole it.

She told her parents (and the bank confirms) that she took out $500 for rent. Griffin Cherry says he did not accept the 500 dollars, and told her to get a check. There was no check (or else the parents wouldn't have mentioned this incident at all) The 500 dollars are missing.

I dunno if they're even testing for DNA. I thought they were just testing to date the sample. To see if it's from around 1997 or not. Hopefully they get the results soon.
