I would bet that at the very least, part of the crew is cooperating with LE. We know that the women have already admitted to purchasing money orders. That is enough to make me believe that they started talking, when they were taken to the police station...and, probably didn't stop. My guess is...

You're welcome. There are so many parts and pieces to this puzzle, it's easy to get confused with some of the details. If something is repeated often enough, it can begin to seem like fact. From there, it starts to grow legs. The next thing you know, we're all (myself included), speculating...
