If he was in Clarkston there would have been an opportunity to throw the weapon into the Snake River, which is also known as a place for disposing of items related to crimes.
Despite being a cemetery, it is in a fairly populated area of Moscow. I was over at the cemetery a few times when I lived in Moscow, and there were always folks walking around or nearby the cemetery. There's also a running/biking trail that passes by it.
I also agree with both of you. As I stated in an earlier post, I would also assume someone in the house might be armed since weapons are a dime a dozen in Idaho. Very odd.

Does anyone believe this could be tied to the very dated Lewis Clark Valley serial killer(s)? These killings happened along the highway between Moscow and Lewiston, and in Lewiston. These cases happened in the late 1970s and early 1980s, so presumably the killer would be fairly old by this point...
I was the one who stated faculty and staff often live in the neighborhood behind the house. There isn't faculty housing, but a lot of folks who are faculty have historically lived in that neighborhood. It is walking distance to campus and near the arboretum.
