    Canada - Barry, 75, & Honey Sherman, 70, found dead, Toronto, 15 Dec 2017 #3

Is it also the current home listed in HS’s name? If so perhaps BS was against the new home, HS asserted herself and listed the current home. Not requiring BS signature. Although I think I n certain provinces title doesn’t mean much - the spouse still has a claim on the residence.

Anything’s possible. All depends on the policy. If the beneficiary of a policy was responsible for the death, it would not pay out. That said, at this level of wealth there are likely to be very complex structures around finances. I also agree that life insurance might not be a significant...

If HS was strangled elsewhere (and from what has been reported that could mean just a few feet from where she was found), maybe BS naively thought that by hanging her after she was strangled, and exactly as he intended to hang himself, it would appear to be a double suicide.

As for buying a house and leaving it for nearly a year...Toronto real estate is insane. If a house was for sale in their desired area I could easily see them buying it without having planned anything in advance. Maybe then needing to wait for a reputable contractor to do the project - also not...

I agree 100% with MMJ above. Also, could the family have wanted media coverage to cease or be vague so mourning and burial under Jewish religion could proceed (since suicide is a sin)

they've pretty much ruled out a medical situation and voluntarily walking away from her life. so i don't think it's odd to be using past tense. it wouldn't take long for me to contemplate the worst-case scenario if it were my mother, despite trying to maintain a positive attitude

anyone who has survived a prairie winter will know that winnipeggers bust out the shorts and flip flops as soon as it goes above 12C. this was likely taken on one of the first few nice spring days.

i agree. if you're training to run/walk long distances you usually have a few standard routes based on time or distance. she may have combined 2 of her shorter routes on this day to end up at Cdn Tire. she wasn't intending to walk directly to Cdn Tire, it wouldn't have taken her 2h to do that -...

but there are the found glasses, which if you just want to disappear from your life doesn't quite seem like enough if you're trying to make it seem like you were abducted or attacked. it was 42C with the humidex in Winnipeg that weekend, I wouldn't bring my dogs on a 2h walk in that heat either...

The police definitely have more than they have divulged publicly so far. It did not make sense that the organized searches stopped for a few days so early on and then resumed a few days later.
