I keep thinking about SB saying that IR places Deorr at the campsite after the store trip. Perhaps that is what IR was told - that Deorr was there, but taking a nap (either in the truck or the suburban) and that he would be fine with GGP. But that he never saw him running around - alive. But...

If they arrived around 9:30 pm on Thursday, it is possible that the store was closed when they drove through Leadore.

I have lurked on this thread and commented very early on (my family spent a week camping in the general area about 2 weeks after Deorr disappeared). Someone asked why the parents would make a trip to the store if Deorr was gone. I think it would have been a good cover up for the parents had...

Perhaps they were at the Stage Stop for 20 min. Because it would really be difficult (impossible?) For someone to drive from the campsite to Leadore in 20 min. You can't drive that fast on that road. I think the 40 min travel time is most correct. This has likely been brought up before, but...

I kind of believe the timeline of DK (I think?) who said it was around 2pm and they left for ten minutes and then searched for 20 minutes. That would line up with the first 911 call. Could it be that the 911 operator put words into JM's mouth when she said/suggested/clarified the 1 hour...

4 minutes according to some statments. Possibly as long as 10-15 minutes. That would be a very quick planning and execution period. Which is why I personally cannot get on board with the abduction by Stanger theory.

BUT.... coyotes and rabbits are not hunted with bows. And the family certainly would've heard a gunshot (and reported it). And for those who think it could've been someone poaching another type of animal - very unlikely. One would not do it in broad daylight in a camping area. That type of...

It is more off grid than others. However, I don't believe that it was chosen because of that. Most people who go camping in that area want to be alone - and nothing bad happens. It sounds like this was a family favorite spot for years (although D sr had never been there before - but he is...

Much warmer than I wanted ;) We expected maybe 70s in the day and chilly at night. But even those in our group that slept in hammocks were "hot" at night.

But the "campground" is also primitive (with no water and no nightly fees) . When one considers how many acres of public land there is in idaho (I believe in the millions) it doesn't surprise me that not every single one is listed.

Earlier someone asked about temps in the area and whether or not a child left napping in a hot car could be deadly. Temps this summer seem to be hotter than normal. We camped from July 29 - August 5th outside of Salmon. Our campground was at 8800' (which is higher than Timber Creek). Daytime...

But Leadore is incredibly small that LE likely did not ORIGINATE from Leadore. They would have come from either Salmon or Idaho Falls ETA: my post was posted at the same time as the quoted poster's edit. :)

I would imagine some would come from Salmon, but it really is a small town of maybe 5k? It is mostly touristy. Nothing further north of salmon (Carmen, North Fork etc) would have major SAR folks. 40 miles north of Salmon and you are in MT and even then Missoula is over 100 miles into MT)

Is there a camera from Salmon to Leadore? That would confirm if LE (or an increase in activity was there after Deorr was reported missing.

Yes - 28 is the road they would have used. Anything else would not be logical (adding a lot of time to the drive with mountain roads that are not the best). It is interesting about the road camera not showing a lot of activity friday afternoon/evening when SAR and LE showed up. They also likely...

I talked to a ranger in the Leadore district several weeks ago when we were thinking about camping at Big Eight Mile Campground. I asked her about series in Leadore (specifically gas and fishing licenses). She mentioned that there was a little convince store that could make deli sandwiches and...

Often the edges of these ponds are muddy/mucky with sinking-type sand. We just got home from camping yesterday and the watering hole lakes were all like that. My boys were trying to catch tadpoles and frogs but couldn't step even a step into the water before sinking. Little Jerold could have...

I would like to expand on my earlier thoughts now that I am at a computer. I hope that I am not violating any rules by my post, as it is my own opinion and pure speculation/hypothetical. From what I personally know about the FLDS, it is very hard to be a male within the community. Obviously...

Found Deceased AZ - Jerold Williams, 5, Jacob Lake, 6 Aug 2015

This is my first time posting on this thread. I used to live near Colorado City and agree with other posters about the police/search efforts making little Jerold hide deeper. But then I go back to the beginning that 15+ people searched for 4 hours for him - when presumably he was reported...

We also had 3 generations on this trip. If your trailer isn't too big (the road is a bit steep, but decently maintained) check out Wallace Lake outside of Salmon. It was awesome (and no atvs). I live in MT and also have our sweet spots.
