It seems to be becoming worryingly common across the globe. The coverage made me so uncomfortable from the start. Lauren was barely mentioned, referred to as a 'body' found beside him. I can't imagine how her family must have felt reading the coverage. I hope more comes out about the police...
Hi all. I've been following every post but I've been conflicted on commenting. My opinion keeps changing & I will admit I am heavily swayed by PA's as well as the friends who spoke to the press, however we all know in times of grief that people will not be thinking clearly. The picture seems to...
That thought hadn't occured to me, but the way it's worded is very telling isn't it? I'm not sure when Sarah wrote that, but presumably police wouldn't have been able to confirm that she hadn't accessed it by that point. It would have made more sense to say 'she hasn't posted on social media...
I don't think anyone can confirm sadly. I believe this has come only from the parents not police. So who knows if the timing is accurate. The timeline is very confusing for anyone who may have been searching in the early days..
Totally agree that there needs to be. I can't understand why so little has been mentioned about this unless police have all the evidence they need? SaW is from the Doncaster area so you'd think it maybe useful to broadcast this further afield. Really you have to actively search out this case...
I agree, the public shouldn't be searching now. I just think it speaks volumes that they were no searches arranged by parents/ community when she first went missing. Of course, given the charges that makes sense now. When you compare to cases like Becky Watts there was a very public search...
Does anyone else find it strange there is so little coverage on this case? Even locally, the articles seem very slow. Why were there no appeals, or searches. JMO, but I believe the police suspected parents early on.
Is it routine that LE don't comment when a search is ongoing? Early on they...
I followed Leah's case too and have the same feelings as you. This case reminds me a little of Sarah Wellgreens (not as well known). They got a successful prosecution and her body has never been found. I believe they have strong forensic or circumstantial evidence that both SaW and ScW are the...
I'm not sure if I'm quoting properly, I'm so new at this so I apologise. Those are my feelings too that this is most likely an accident. I wonder if perhaps she got hit by the car and that some elements are true. Possibly the car was taken in for repairs or something obvious that sounded the...
I can't stop thinking about her and wishing for news every day. I cannot imagine how the siblings and everyone who cared for her must be feeling waiting for news. It must be excruciating. I just pray they do find her and this isn't a case like Sarah Wellgreen where her children had no funeral...
Hi all,
I've been a long term lurker, nervous to post in case I say the wrong thing. I feel compelled to comment on this post though. Something about it has really got to me and I can't stop thinking about poor Berni and what she may have gone through in her young life. I have always been...
