People do drive off ferry docks accidentally more often than I ever realized, so that seems possible. Perhaps his body is in there and just wasn't visible? I'm having a hard time seeing how it could be an accident if he's not inside. Maybe he managed to escape the car in time? But then his body...
Can't you enter the water over the embankment right past the lighthouse roundabout? Kind of near the boat launch? Is that barricaded off at night? It's more bizarre that a body wasn't found. I have a hard time imaging how it could drop off the ferry with no one else noticing.

Jose's vehicle is believed to have been found under 50 feet of water very close to the Mukilteo ferry dock. It has not yet been pulled out. I saw this in a small local paper but it is also being reported by Q13.

Very interesting you mention the passport thing. I was drugged at a bar in Prague and an instinct about my passport was what throttled my alertness enough to get out. I always thought it was odd that cardboard and paper caused that reaction in me. Apparently I'm not alone. Looking back, there...
I don't think there was preplanning in this. There may be a connection between the muggers and this homeless guy, but I think what happened is that he fought back more than expected and the jerks robbing him were annoyed that some young kid who was more and had more than they'd ever have in life...
^Sloppy Sam's is notorious among students. They'd serve someone dying of alcohol poisoning in their bar another shot.

I studied abroad in Rome and my apartment was in Trastevere. I never perceived it to be even remotely dangerous. It's quite scary to hear this is a pattern there. Rome is a big city though, and there were many students there who drank far too much far too fast. I'm not saying he did and it's no...
I don't think he has that great of a defense attorney. I think LE and the prosecutor's office vetted the information he provided and independent evidence verified his story. While the plea is done, the judge still has discretion in sentencing. He waived his allowable sentencing window so his...
If he did leave far away, isn't it weird he didn't even anonymously tell family he was safe? He must have been really, really upset. I still feel like his last comment to his sister suggests he knew he wasn't returning. But I don't know if that means suicide, running away for good, etc.

In those, they are fulfilling the request by saying the documents are exempt. But here, it sounds like they're saying, we don't even want to respond and figure out what's exempt and what's not. On what basis?! You can do that (go to court and get an injunction) if it's a bunch of work and an...
Maybe it's because the county has paid out so many public records lawsuits recently. It is odd. I am not even aware of a legal basis for this. I thought you could only get an injunction to stop fulfilling a request if the request came from an inmate.

^The attorney is based out of where his parents are. I'm familiar with the criminal defense attorneys in Snohomish County and I have never seen him practicing here. He'd be way, way better off with a public defender here IMO.

They didn't say but it does seem weird if it's not following a specific tip. Needle in a haystack is an underestimate for a single hiker out there, right?

I have suicide as a possibility on my mind given his last comment to his sister. It just seems like he thought he wouldn't be coming back.

^No, just as a resident of Snohomish County. It's been covered in the media several times over the last ten years or so as a recurring problem in MLT and surrounding departments. I never kept a list of officers, but multiple officers had their credibility so destroyed they are essentially...
