The podcast is great! It's been so hard to get new information about the case because I'd already read all the articles and public info from top to bottom. These interviews are gold!
Ugh, I was tied up the night the new dateline aired and now it's been taken down, and all youtube links are quickly removed too. If anyone has a valid link still please message me. Thanks!
This AND Markel accused WA and her attorney of falsifying financial affidavits and failing to disclose personal financial assets during the divorce, and was seeking to have the entire marital settlement agreement nullified on that basis. All of the financial allegations were coming to a head...
I can't believe she is willing to sit in jail for that long. If I were her I would be LIVID that I was in jail and CA was running around town a free man. I would be wanting to sell him out immediately.
Unfortunately, I don't think he has the requisite information. KM was the intermediary. The one who spoke to both the killers and those who hired them. She delivered the money. They need her testimony for a case to go forward against the family.
I can't even describe the level of excitement that will rise up inside me if/when the news breaks that she is taking a plea deal and testifying against her conspirators.
I don't think people have lost interest. Everyone I've spoken to is anxious for the case to progress, it's just that with so much time between hearings, people run out of things to talk about on the internet.
With regard to the Jury/Non Jury trial thing, I think that is just a computer code...
The Tallahassee Democrat article says "In a scheduled four-hour hearing next month, Magbanua will be compelled to prove to prosecutors who is paying for her two Miami attorneys"....but I don't think that's actually the case yet. The state is going to be making argument that Magbanua should be...
I finally received the Notice of Taking Depositions filed a few weeks ago by Magbanua's attorneys. They set depositions of basically all the law enforcement involved in the case (sheriffs, detectives, investigators, etc.) to take place this past week. I hope all the depositions went forward...
Also, I saw that the State's Motion to Continue the hearing on the Motion for Conflict of Interest Inquiry said that they need additional time because "the state has several outstanding subpoenas seeking up-to-date financial information for Defendant" (KM). So, although the delay was...
I read about her new position with mixed feelings. I guess she might as well be working. And she hasn't been charged with anything so there is no reason why prospective employers should not extend the presumption of innocence to her, a concept I fully support. Having attended Florida State when...
They requested the judge deny the motion for conflict of interest inquiry. In a gist, they said the state is making assumptions as to a potential conflict and has no proof that any exists. They steadfastly deny that a conflict of interest exists. They said that to grant the conflict of interest...
Gotcha. It would be curious of them to file an objection at this point, since they told the media the funds came from KM's family. My friend at the Tallahassee Democrat told me that Decoste told him the funds came from KM's family, most of whom is still in the Phillippines. Which strikes me as...
Yeah, you're right and they have until Monday to show cause as to why they don't have to comply. But at any rate, the request for the inquiry hasn't been granted and they haven't actually been ordered to produce anything yet. There seemed to be some confusion in prior posts that they had to show...
