In my post I did not say that KR's car hit JOK.
I said that it hit "something. possibly the curb"
The point of the post was to offer a possible explanation
for the "did I hit him?" and "I hit him"
statements from KR that have been talked about.
Yes.....proven by Blood Test analysis report.
Good question would be was she in a alcoholic blackout state at the
12:30 AM time in front of 34 Fairview when JOK got out of car.
Would help to explain the "did I hit him" or "I hit him" statements made later on.
Interrupted Memories...
I agree with you.
I thought that evidence was very muddled in it's presentation.
The key cycles, extraction of data from the Lexus, somehow trying to
prove the 24 MPH in reverse, etc.
It may have been so confusing and murky that the jury could disregard all.
And focus it's attention on...
Good points IMHO.
If the evidence of vehicle moving at 24 MPH in reverse can be
believed (and that is a big "IF") then she may have hit him intentionally.
Granted, the Albert / McCabe clan and friends seem like a bunch of
alcoholic low-lifes, they do not seem to be bright enough to pull off...
That was my thought...I believe the judge gave the jury that option.....to
continue to deliberate whilst having lunch....so possibly they want to wrap up today.
Wondering if they have the option to continue to deliberate past the 4 PM
stop time.......MOO
MOO:
Something just strikes me about the drinking culture and entitlement of this group:
(the McCabes, the Alberts, Higgins. their kids, their cousins, the friends, etc.)
In the middle of a blizzard, well after dark, near midnight, drunk after bar-hopping and guzzling booze for a few hours...
Possibly.......but I think Higgins is still mixed up in all this.
He spent all day after incident at Police Headquarters
and some have said that he is seen on the videos coming and going
from the sallyport.
Just some back of the napkin calculations on what KR's BAC could have been at time of incident:
BAC is reduced at a rate of 0.015 per hour.
Source: Alcohol Metabolism
Assume that KR's last drink was at 12 midnight.
She had a BAC of 0.093 at 9AM when tested at the hospital. See source below...
Excellent post about that type of heavy drinking becoming normal among folks of a social circle, and especially the part about "until something happens". I lived it for many years, but it will catch up to you. And as you see with this trial, something did happen.
Also noticed the same in the...
Question for the group:
Was it ever determined what KR's blood alcohol level was at time of incident, say around 12:30 AM? I know there was a possible range given by the person that wrote up the the analysis report from the testing and timeline, but that range was so huge that it makes it...
With release of the tox report the story seems to be pretty much over now.
Unless LE decides to investigate to determine where the drugs came from.
Which they may do because of pressure from the families of the dead men.
Even though there is plenty of circumstantial evidence,
AM could very well be exonerated or jury hung and mistrial.
Defense may be able to instill enough reasonable doubt
within the jury due to:
- weak / murky / vague motive provided by prosecution
- contamination of crime scene by all LE...
I thought the article was very good.
Gives context and detail on how one group of lawyers, bankers, judges, and corrupt politicians can turn this type of civil litigation into such a huge money-making process or scheme for themselves in this tiny corner of SC.
Also was enlightening as to how...
Good article from Jan 23rd issue of the New Yorker on the financial
crimes of Alex Murdaugh and associates. Especially how civil lawsuits against
corporations operated as such a large money-making scheme.
Also has a good analysis of the culture and economy of that particular area two-county...
