IMO not fact, It could be possible that at some point the police were on to him and following him. Maybe he went back to that site after he hid her body and that's what brought them to the location. I think someone on a much earlier post mentioned the possibility of plain clothed officers close...

Could have been as simple as once she was in the car, he asked to use her phone under the pretence that his was out of battery .... and switched it off.
IMO the outcome will probably be a simple one.
This is a guy who can take care of himself, has been in far worse situations than being drunk and lack of sleep (I.e military training exercises, posts abroad etc.) He is not your average joe in this sense.

Just throwing this out there... If he was removed due to be annoying, as an example, that sounds rather an extreme action taken by the bouncers.

Does anyone know the reason he was asked to leave? I think I read somewhere because he was drunk, but surely everyone else in the club would have been drunk too. So I wonder what was so special about him that the bouncers took those actions?
I think the same too. The guy is military, he knows how to look after himself. I doubt he'd go down without a fight. Surely if he'd been attacked someone would have heard or seen.
