Forgive me if I somehow missed this discussion.
Authorities still believe it was Harley on the surveillance video, correct? I don’t fully understand where that camera was in relation to his house & the home he was found in, but I’m wondering if there shouldn’t be video of him passing by the...
Good morning. Long time lurker, rare poster.
I had a very far fetched idea pop in my head, but I just can’t shake it. I want to throw it out there, but keep in mind I realize it’s an unlikely scenario.
Someone mentioned that Jayme Closs received part of the reward money for saving herself...
Thank you @margarita25 I missed that article. Very interesting. Makes me really wonder what they saw. If it was nothing, why not say so? I suppose if they did see something of significance, it could be dangerous to disclose that with the killer still out there.
Is the husband still a POI?
Has there been any statement about what the kids have to say? I find it odd that they haven’t even mentioned interviewing them. Even if they both were asleep when it happened & have no input, you would think LE would say as much.
It’s possible, but unlikely. Several things would need to have fallen into place. He would have to have parents that aren’t monitoring him after the initial arrest (that would mean super crappy parents), he would have to find access to a new gun, because presumably any guns he had prior...
I could see why that might affect media coverage in town where the incident occurred, but Berreth got national attention, at the very least, why isn’t her home community giving it more attention?
Why is this case getting so little attention compared to the Berreth case? Obviously the Berreth case now has a lot to discuss, but originally it had less info to slueth & dissect than this one does, yet it still got more attention.
Agreed, the R’s & the BFF’s level of accountability is minor compared to PF & KK. However, to go on TV & act like reluctant heroes is pretty unsettling. I can’t imagine any truly honorable reason for giving the interview. Even the premise of protecting their practice doesn’t cut it for me. IMO.
If the police confronted him ahead of time, it is highly likely KB would still be alive. It’s doubtful that he would’ve followed through with his plans. KB would also have had the chance to be cautious in her day to day activities.
It’s been 3 mo. Highly doubtful it plays out well. I have to imagine it would seem impossible to the kidnappers that he would suddenly pay up. So what motivation would they have to both continue to hold her captive, yet keep her alive?
<modsnip: quoted post was removed>Obviously those involved in a murder like this are not of strong moral fabric. On the other hand, at least in the case of IN (assuming she knew what was going on) she may have justified it all somehow & could still maintain integrity in other areas of her life...
I would like to believe moral obligation would weigh far heavier than legal obligation anyways in a situation like that. Sadly, we know that oftentimes neither are enough.
Hi all. I haven’t posted in months, but have been trying to keep up here. I have a question. It seems a well accepted assumption that KB & PF had a rocky relationship at best, with most believing they were broken up. Why is that the general consensus? Because of what the Aunt said? Because...
