BRE was a phone system tech and worked on PABX systems at business premises. He didn't have access to exchanges from what I have been told. The exchanges back then were manned during the day and at night you would need to call a number to get the exchange opened remotely. Now remembering there...
No way they weren't planted. The person carrying out the autopsy never found the pods in her hair or in the bag. When questioned in court about whether he may have missed them during the autopsy he said nothing is impossible but very highly unlikely. They were definitely planted and the judge...
There was a doco about the case on telly which showed what the police had done and the evidence they had made up about LR killing is wife at the house but all the evidence was fabricated. The judge was scathing of the police.

Very unlikely. Even if he did have a key he still need to justify being there at night. PABX tech has no need to go to exchange at night.

The eacs system that controls the doors is now only able to open the doors either by swipe card or remotely. The doors are keyed but no techs have keys. They didn't have swipe cards back then. I don't think BRE used the exchanges otherwise because he couldn't have access without someone knowing...
From what I have been told by a Tech who was at Telecom at the time the door had to be opened remotely hence the need to call. As far as people at the exchange, they were maned during the day. Because there was no internet back then there was not much need for techs to go to the exchange only...
BRE would have had access after hours but not without informing the person in charge to get access. These days it's just card access to open the door but back then you had to phone someone to get granted access.
