This made me feel a bit sick. Using JO's words after she saw what she saw. I know they're just doing their job but it's a bit cold and insensitive IMO.
I'm more convinced than ever that DG relished in re-living his crime and that not pleading guilty was his last "eff you" to the family of AL. HIs way of inflicting maximum pain and suffering.
:(
I'm sorry but WTF.
WHY
WHY THEN
WHYYYYYYYYY
Did they put the family, the jury, the city, the witnesses, the taxpayers...freaking EVERYONE through this terrible trial? WHY
I am so angry. So angry.
I know someone on the jury and it's been VERY hard on them. There's a reason that counseling was made available to them throughout the trial and not just afterwards.
Every time I see them I just want to give them a big hug because it's hard enough for me to read the details of the case...
While it was a weekday and always risky to go back to the scene of the crime in broad daylight - it was actually a holiday for many people because Canada Day was the next day. So many people had an extra long weekend and wouldn't have been going to work that day. Also prime summer vacation time...

:( :( :( :(
Nevermind - see this tweet was previously posted. Just carry on. I'll go back to lurking!
Yes, he would have turned up 17th Ave Westbound to get to the Westbrook mall area.
(First post - been following this trial religiously as a born and raised Calgarian with small children this just broke my heart. I also know someone on the jury :( So this is hitting very close to home.)
