Was it a trailer park or a campground? There is a campground right off I65 next to a pond. I believe it's called Caboose Lake Campground.

There is a nature reserve trail that runs along the north side of the creek. From the main parking area, you will walk east a ways until getting to a fork. The left fork goes to the bridge and the right fork goes to the nature reserve trail. From what I remember, the fork is only about 500 steps...
