I also suspect that the most likely route of access was through the garage. The killer had to have bypassed the front desk. Just last summer police interviewed employees there in connection with Teixeira's bank robbery investigation. Those employees identified him in surveillance photos. That's...
According to this report, there is a service elevator in the building. Possibly it's accessible from the garage or the outside? Maybe someone with a master key could have entered the service elevator directly, bypassing security? The following is from today's cbslocal report:
"BOSTON (CBS) ...
Looks like Teixeira was already in his 20s when he came to the USA. Masslive just posted this info:
"According to The Boston Globe, an aunt raised Teixeira near there on the island nation of Cape Verde before moving with him to the Boston area around the late 2000s.
Teixeira obtained a green...
Here's info from a Boston Globe article describing the Macallen Building. Could this mean that it's possible the killer accessed the building elevator from the gargage? Just speculation on my part.
"Property records show that on July 17, 2013, Field paid $1.945 million for the penthouse on the...
The doctors bought their condo in 2013. Teixeira worked there for three weeks sometime between October 2015 and April 2016. At that point in time, he may have possessed a master key to the doctors' condo.
That's what media is reporting. See my links (in prior posts) for the specifics.
Very interesting info. I read the stuff in your links. I didn't know that there was war in Guinea-Bissau as recently as 1998. Teixeira may have lived through that as a child.
(Not that I am feeling any sympathy for him.)
Concerning how Teixeira got into the building and the penthouse -- the so-called $64,000 question -- this info was recently reported by NBC.
"Since the murders of doctors Richard Field and Lina Bolanos inside their penthouse condo in the Macallen Building in South Boston on Friday, NBC Boston...
Yes, you have a point. But I was suggesting that Teixeira -- in a totally dark apartment after committing two murders -- may have been deliberately provoking the police to fire, hoping to get himself killed. Just a theory. If so, then he could have given LE a valid reason to feel threatened...
Now they're saying that the "message of retribution" was written on the walls using blood. That's reported by Fox News:
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/05/09/boston-doctors-killed-suspect-worked-as-concierge-in-couples-building.html
http://video.foxnews.com/v/5426988435001/?#sp=show-clips
Both doctors worked in the Boston area. Lina was employed at a prestigious downtown hospital. Richard worked at a pain management clinic (which he helped to establish) on the outskirts of Boston.
Aside from that, both doctors were foreign born; she was from Colombia and he was England. Looks...
Concerning how Teixeira got into the building and the apartment, the Boston Herald reported this new detail:
"Asked if Teixeira may have acquired a master key to the victims’ unit and if he had aprior position at a sister building, Conley said, “This is very early on in the...
When the police entered the apartment, it was completely dark. They saw Teixeira inside, and already had info to the effect that he was armed. I could easily imagine a scenario in which Teixeira disobeyed the cops' order to freeze. At that point, it's perfectly justified, I think, for the police...
Well, that's what media is implying. The People Magazine article posted in #167 states the following:
"Teixeira is accused of killing Dr. Lina Bolanos, 38, and her 49-year-old fiancé, Dr. Richard Field. Their throats were slashed and a “message of retribution” was allegedly written...
Here's the latest from the Boston Globe. Up-to-the-minute. It offers an explanation for the killer's motivation, most likely directed against his former employer. He was angry because the ex-employer helped to finger him for his bank robbery last June...
In that case, there is no way that Teixeira could have retained copies of keys, passes, or knowledge of pass codes based on his previous work with security in the Macellan. That blows my original suspicion out of the water.
And, I don't see how Teixeira could gotten past the doorman/concierge...
Here's the latest report on this vicious, tragic crime. It includes a surveillance photo of Teixeira robbing the bank:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4484800/Suspect-killed-engaged-doctors-appear-judge.html
The article also contains some detailed information about the security firm...
