"Yes, you can get DNA from a fingerprint because fingerprints contain touch DNA from skin cells."
There was a case from 1974 where all they had was a single fingerprint and they solved it off that
Now that they have the murder weapon and his image its only matter of time before they get him. Also, since they have his print on the weapon, they can do Genetic genealogy to determine who it is. Hope Justice comes soon.
Hey, guys! haven't posted here in a while, but want to say does anyone feel like this case might be connected to Karen Denise Wells case? both happened one year apart, and both vehicles were found covered in mud with X number of miles unaccounted for.
Yes, whomever left the barrels and stove probably did so because it would have been too difficult to transport out of the woods. Maybe early settlers from the 1800s left them behind because it would have been too much of a strain on the horses that took them to the area to pull it for miles and...
Didn't know the skeleton was found next to a stove miles out in the woods (so deep nobody can find it decades later). Wonder how that got out there in the first place? I do feel like It is possible she could have ran off from the camp and got lost in the woods and found those barrels and used...
This is great news. This was possibly a hate crime and is eerie similar to Brandon Teena who also died around the same time on new years 4 years after. (also sexually assaulted and brutally murdered like this person).
RIP
That’s intresting. Wonder if she was Tajik. They are east persians that live in Afganistan and tajikistan, which is right above afganistan and Iran. I wouldnt be surprised if she left there in the early 90s after the fall of the soviet union and couldnt adjust to the new lifestyle.
I hope she gets identified soon. People think DNA testing started in the 1980s but it actually started in mid 1970s. Marcia Trimble case is a good example, police talk about recovering DNA evidence from her in 1975. So by 1991 they knew what they were doing when it came to collecting.
I find it intresting she had 2 last names. Was she married at the time of her disappearance? Maybe her husband was involved. Also has investigator Dylan Hendricks looked at Clark Perry Baldwin as a possible suspect? He seemed to have had a couple of victims with abdominal scars like hers and...
Glad she got her name back. I was concerned she would never be identified after reading she was cremated not long after being found, but even in 1990 they knew what they were doing when it came to collecting DNA.
I am curious to see what she looked like in life.
I do feel strongly about this though. As much as I did about Sharon Lee Gallegos being Little Miss Nobody last year. I also recently noticed she had a scar on her abdomen like Bitter Creek Betty had. Apparently he didn't like mothers/ soon to be mothers based on his victims. He might have saw...
Yeah, I am certain this is a victim of Clark Perry Baldwin. What are the chances of there being another killer in the early 90s who would murder and dump women, without trying to hide the body, and then take their shoes as souvenirs like he did with Pamela McCall in 1991 and Sherdian JD in 1992.
Yes! So happy she has been identified. This was the last of my pet cases.
Also Oleynik is Ukrainian not polish. Like Ukrainian-american actress Larisa Oleynik
Thanks guys. I dont know much about this case at all. I remember hearing it is loosely related to the man with no hands case (Which is MadMcGoo’s avatar) but other than that I haven't investigated into it.
Maybe the killer killed him because they had a New Years party and he woke up the next...
<modsnip: removed repost of broken link>
So does that mean The person found was a female who identified as male or a male
That identified as female? New info must have got out about this being a hate crime murder.
I thought this might have been a murder over drugs like Meth or money but being...
Oh Sherri... I hope one day the identity of the person who did this is revealed... and if he is still alive, even 95 years old, I hope he is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law in Texas.
Also, I have noticed she has a headstone with her full name and face on it. This is great!
...
There are conflicting statements. Doenetwork claims she was unrecognizable while NAMUS states the face is recognizable. So I am confused as to rather she was or was not?
Also I am confused as to why someone would make up a post mortem photo and go into detail about “shorts similar to sharon” and...
