It certainly is a shame and a tragedy. If I remember correctly this property isn't even really that "out there" as far as places in Norwich can be. It's fairly close to Norwich's Main Street. Someone earlier on in the thread mentioned a house in Norwich that Rich landscaped for, the owners were...
Here's a screenshot from street view of what appears to be the barn in the photographs of LE. It must have been the first place they looked when arriving at the property.
I grew up across the river from Norwich, VT. It's a pretty quiet, peaceful place from my experience. I was shocked to hear a body turned up there, and also surprised that someone would choose a barn and not somewhere in the remote woods to hide someone. Perhaps he was planning on coming back...
We were just above the flood plain luckily. Really changed the geography of the creek though. I was talking about this to a friend that fishes the creek a lot and she said that she has been yelled at and chased by people living outside around this area of the creek. I'm guessing drug induced...
Sort of surprised to see speculation of any connection between the pictures of the man in the jacket/the sketch and the photo taken of a man in a park in California. Like... what exactly is the similarity? White men with jeans? How can we make such speculations based on such a grainy photo. IMO...
I've been following this case since the beginning and it's been a wild, sickening ride. The latest details of the case from the confessions just make me sick to my stomach. It's been interesting to read through these threads and to contribute as well. This is a cool forum. I just have to create...
Makes sense to me. At this point CD was in "cover-up" mode, IMO. His plan to sell the car wasn't super well thought out but he was doing anything at that point to get rid of evidence. If he'd kill the other guy too... that would just be more work to do at that point in his process, I think.
SO glad that rumor was debunked by LE. Seemed kinda ridiculous, IMO. Especially when it dragged Riddle into incrimination involving the murder of one of his friends, without any definitive evidence.
Former Boulderite here. Recently moved from CO. I lived in Boulder about a year and half ago, right along Boulder Creek and part of the creek path and not far from where this assault seems to have taken place. When I first moved into that apartment (ground floor right up against the creek), one...
Sure. My apologies.

EDIT - Now that I look into this, the shop owner under review denies having ever done business with CD.
I too am fascinated with this. I think the hunting/deep sea fishing is about power for him. Both the powerful feeling he gets from a kill and the power he perceives in the "prestige" of trophy hunting/fishing, IMO. I think that's where the gangster part relates. There's sort of a expression of...
Psychology folk here. I know what you're referring to but I don't really agree. I don't think he's a narcissist. I think he is very insecure. Look at how he shaves his widow's peak, and it clearly looks bad to everyone. I don't think that's narcissist behavior. Look at the bravado in the...
I figured he was "the guy" who should have never been "the guy". Personally freaks me out as I remember multiple instances in my past where a buddy and I would go out in the woods and meet up with someone we barely knew... much like it appears TM and MS did.
Reflects his state of mind during those transactions. They probably didn't do anything. He just perceived some nothing gesture as a slight against him. MOO
My opinion? He just wanted to kill. Lured the victims there as a typical, no big deal weed pickup. At least, I'm pretty certain that's the case for JTP. Definitely not unheard of to buy weed from a somewhat distant acquaintance.
I dunno... I don't want to sound too cinematic, but I look at CD...
