Because Cosmo wasn't waiving his gun around, JTP had no reason to think this guy had a gun on him and was the lunatic he is. And I highly doubt there was any shotgun transaction.. you don't go to buy some pot and end up impulse buying weaponry.
The "taking the gun from SK and shooting DF when he was already dead" just sounds like something an idiot would say to cover up the fact that he killed DF but was worried the forensics would indicate he shot him.
I think CD was going to kill JTP regardless. I assume JTP was there to buy $800.. $80.. who knows how much. CD makes up the ridiculous story that he was there to buy $8k, only had $800 so they instead decided to change the transaction to a gun. I mean, come on, who hasn't gone to their drug...
I agree, the only part that I'm struggling with is if SK did shoot him, why does CD take SK's gun to shoot him again? Did they not both have guns?
Not considering the legal implications, is there something that makes DF different than the other 3 that CD doesn't want to admit to the murder? CD...
I really don't think there's that much to it. CD was sick and wanted to kill. He starts with JTP (or maybe others in the past) and can't stop. Maybe he is a pot dealer that's dealt with these kids before, or approached them for the first time and offered, but he uses it to lure victims in.
If...
yea makes no sense at all. "I wanted 8k worth of weed for 800 but a shotgun sounds good too. "
Is the story being fudged by dinardo in an attempt to eliminate premeditation?
